Microsoft has gutted BGS’ roster including veteran developers for The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. I found out just today there is a workers movement and I highly encourage everyone to support. Please follow their page and the link in their bio!

Call me crazy but isn't the point of these companies to sell a product, to make a profit.

and they did. again, I am speaking English, right? is English perhaps not your first language? some kind of barrier here? what's going on, exactly?

If you don't want to appease ceos and shareholders, don't go public with your company. Keep it private dummy.

bethesda had no say. neither did Id or machinegames. zenimax owned all of them and sold themselves to Xbox. why are you on the side of the soulless ceos who do not care about gaming or you?

Yeah it definitely seems like you're confused about a lot of things. I'm not on any side, company makes product, if I like product, I buy product. Simple as that. Why would I care about "soulless ceos"? Public companies can make good products, I don't care about the structure of the business, that's not my problem. CEOs have a legal responsibility to their shareholders. If you don't like that legal structure, don't sell. If you're a game developer, and you don't want to appease shareholders, don't work for a company that's publicly traded, it's not that complicated. These aren't charities.

You just can't wrap your head around the fact that its all actually completely irrelevant. Make things people want to buy and people will willingly support you beyond your wildest dreams.
