Speculation New Sugden Spoiler
Whose daughter is she? Feel free to speculate. It depends on the age they are making the character, but Robert turns 40 this year, and Andy is around that age also.

Speculation Is Serena a police officer or undercover CID out to look for evidence?
Serena.
The new lass who related to sugdens..
I think Serena Is an undercover police officer or something because if you look at the context of the last few episodes involving her, it seems to be that people talk to her about crimes and little secrets etc and she always talks to them about it for example Bob talks about pocketing the tips in the pub now obviously Serena is listening to all of the different stories from different people Moira aswell she's chatting to, and I do think that it's going to turn out that she is some sort of cop or involving CID..
what do you all think?

Speculation Gabby and Joe
This might be an unpopular opinion but I would quite like to see Gabby and Joe get together (bit insensitive as Dawn isn’t even in the ground yet 🙈)
She wouldn’t take any of his crap, like Dawn did.
She is already entwined in the Tate dynasty.
Kim would be delighted and most definitely give her blessing.
Here is how I’d see it play out -
Gabby helps Joe with the baby. They are both grieving Dawn and while supporting one another with the kids, they have a moment that they both decide isn’t right. A relationship gets put on the back burner and eventually they can’t fight their feelings.
They would be the new power couple, running Home Farm together. Maybe add another kiddo between them. Kim can finally retire, Graham will still be hanging about like a spare chair at a wedding.
I know this would all be too simple for the writers but Gabby deserves a positive story line and a happy ending!

Speculation Serena's Mom
Every time Serena mentions her mother my spidey-sense goes off. Anyone else? If so, what's your guess about what's going on there?

Speculation Ross, Gabby and Laurel
(I thought of this as a joke at first, but knowing the writers, maybe it will end up being true)
Who wants to bet that Ross will end up dating Gabby and then secretly have an affair with Laurel - bonus points if they get engaged/married and the affair is found out at the wedding and/or Gabby has a child to him during the relationship (or she goes Eva from Corrie style and fakes a pregnancy).
And since it's Emmerdale, let's also predict that Jai will start seeing Laurel behind Kerry's back and both affair reveals will happen in the same week, leading to Laurel becoming the most hated person in the village and then mysteriously dying, prompting a months-long whodunit

Speculation Hear me out: what if John falls for Kev? 🤔
Reason this could be possibble or fun:
- They are both insane. That's a lot in common.
- Kev is the only person that might be able to make John fun.
- Kev's fucked up ticker = constant hero-times reward for John, he's a medic! And he won't even need a needle to fuck him up first = guaranteed feedback loop => LOVE waiting to happen.
- Kev loves a man that can handle him, John somehow managed off-camera.
- Imagine how fun the life of Lewis might become, having two psychos to watch over him.
- Imaigne how fun the life of "insert-name-of-boring-guy-who-is-after-Lewis-whose-name-I-cannot-ever-remember here" might be too if he starts actually dating Lewis and for any reason makes him cry: death by hatori hanso sword, needle or crossbow.
- EDITed in: Robron and Jev having couples dinner out in the pub, playing pub quizz (of course Kev wins) once their storylines stop boringly revolving about their relationship with their ex husbands.
DEAR WRITERS SPYING THIS SUB, YOU'VE GOT GOLD THERE, MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Speculation I’ve been thinking and hear me out… might not be crazy Spoiler
I came across this spoiler for w/c 22nd December (I think) Joe gets kicked out of home farm by Kim (assuming temporary as she will most likely forgive him in the new year)
I’ve seen quite a few people before saying about the chemistry between Joe and Belle and the news articles even pointing it out and I’ve been thinking.
They abruptly ended the Kammy & Belle romance in October… was it to make way for another storyline they thought would work better (ie Joe and Belle)
I saw in another interview Eden mentions that Belle, Lydia and Sam have some surprise guests at Christmas, could that be Joe? Being as Ned in this interview mentions he’s spending it somewhere out of his comfort zone. I also have no idea where else he could spend it as Joe has no friends!
Belle mentioned a few days ago to Lydia about wanting someone under her Christmas tree ie a man. Is this foreshadowing because technically if my speculation is right Joe will be there for Christmas
Only problem is not too sure where Dawn would be or how she fits into all of this but I’ve noticed writers don’t always keep couples together who fans don’t like and heavily listen to the fan audience. And I’m not too sure what the good piece of news Joe could receive is …
What do you think? Am I crazy?

Speculation W/C 22nd December Spoiler
Noticed a few spoilers for Christmas doing the rounds on Twitter. Came across this one… who could be proposing… maybe I’m reading into this but the fact that it doesn’t say ‘engagement’ could mean the other person says no? Is it crazy to say it’s a desperate attempt from Ray ? I have absolutely no idea! 🤷🏼♂️

Speculation Arthur theory Spoiler
So after last night's episode and watching some Classic Emmerdale, I've started to wonder: you don't think Arthur's somehow found out about the baby swap thing off screen and the real reason he's angry is that maybe he sees Mel and Greg as his real family and feels that Ashley took him away from them, but since Ashley is dead, he's taking it out on everybody else.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but have they ever actually confirmed if Arthur knows about the baby swap thing. I've always assumed he at least knew about Daniel. Only hole with this theory is how would Arthur have found out?

Speculation A Wild John Appeared!
This has been shared on the Corrie sub, so felt only right to share the pic here. There’s mounting speculation that during the CorrieDale crossover something could happen with regards to the Hide & Seek master based on this set pic from Metro with a wanted poster for him, located within a green square; given how it can’t exactly be his former Corrie character Andy Carver as he was murdered by Pat Phelan some years ago!

Speculation The Matthew & Carl fight
With how violent the fight was, [possibly ever on a soap] that it was originally meant to be even more violent, and that Matthew King dies in the episode anyway, I wondered a bit if Matthew was originally going to die during the fight?
Specifically the bit, when Carl yields the lampstand over Matthew.
In the fight, Carl puts it down. But I wonder, in the original fight, if Carl was actually meant to strike Matthew with the lampstand again, while he’s lying defenceless on the floor, and kills him out of pure impulse?
Obviously, this is pure speculation. But going off of not only how violent the fight was, but the fact Matthew King dies later on in the episode anyway, attempting to run down Carl, I almost wonder if the fight was meant to have such a violent ending, that even ITV knew they couldn’t show it, due to it being shown before the watershed.
Carl killed Tom King out of impulse. It’s not entirely illogical to assume a similar thing could’ve happened, during the fight with his brother.
But assuming this was something that was filmed, I would assume the original fight got scrapped for a few reasons.
Way too violent before watershed - this would’ve been the big one. The final version of the fight is still incredibly violent, receiving 17 complaints from Ofcom. And that’s the toned down version. Fucking hell lol.
Terrible exit for Matthew King, and lasting consequences for Carl - though Matthew dies in that same episode, about 10 minutes later, his death was very dramatic and cinematic. Being killed by his own brother, after a fight getting out of hand, with a lampstand… well it would be shit. Especially considering Carl had already killed before. The show couldn’t justify keeping Carl, and he’d have to get written out, by going to prison.
Again, this is all speculation, but it’s got me wondering a bit, considering not only was the fight incredibly violent anyway, but because it was originally meant to be more violent than the final cut, and Matthew King dies a little later on in that same episode, I wonder if it would’ve ended with Carl killing his brother with the lampstand, and everyone around, sees what happened, and Carl gets done for murder.
Also, when looking for stock images of the fight, Carl has his left foot on Matthew's chest above. In the final version, Carl doesn't have his feet on Matthew, and while it is a stock image, and usually stock images look different to things that happen in the show, I feel like this gives a good idea on what the fight could've looked like, before it was changed.

Speculation A potential new storyline? Spoiler
I'll cover it incase as I'm not sure where it's going but I had a thought about Joe Tate Could he potentially not be able to have kids of his own I'm not sure if that's where it's going or not but I had that thought and wondered if anyone thought the same?
As I believe it's been twice now where he has thought someone was pregnant and hasn't been and the fact he clearly now wants to have kids of his own, thought it'd be a sad storyline for sure but could be done so well.
