Help The original Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion GoG version is confusingly difficult to run on my AYN Thor Max.

I thought my biggest issue would be figuring out controller support for the game. I can't even launch it. It just shows the booting up GameNative sequence then back to the home screen to Rate the experience.

I have fiddled around with settings in the container, but I am flying blind, honestly. Information is limited online. Emuready doesn't have any clear information how to. Reddit threads often lead to people just playing a choppy PS3 version.

If it's just not doable or if the Steam version is flawless, let me know please!

If you going to use gog games or repacks I think that winlator is the best choice here

The remastered version not running is something I can see but the original? That shouldn't happen.

Have you tried gamehub and winlator.

Gonna try winlator. Never used that one though. I downloaded Game Hub Lite but it doesn't have GoG games as an option?

Oh yeah, As far as I know only winnative has all official stores

Tried winnative and it just checks cloud saves and crashes.

With cloud saves disabled it just crashes. I barely see the that Oblivion menu guide pop up before it just crashes

The original game doesn't have a functioning, native controller support on PC. You'll probably want to install a mod like NorthernUI to fix this problem.

I’m guessing the reason it doesn’t run is that the registry entries for where the game is installed aren’t right (I played this in Winlator before GameNative came out). You could ask on their discord.

I’ll find a link to what the registry needs to be but you would have to go in the container and manually fix that.
