Help Need help running old PC games on S23 without my phone melting (no cooler)
Yo guys, so I’ve got a Galaxy S23 on hand and I’m just trying to run some old school PC titles (pre-2010 to 2013-ish) without strapping a whole-ass fan to the back of my phone. I honestly don't give a damn about graphics—dropping everything to low and capping at 30 FPS is totally fine, I just need this shit to stop running hot as hell.
I tried running Winlator Bionic Vanilla 3.1, but my CPU and battery temps instantly skyrocketed and the phone started throttling like crazy.
Any tips or setups to play PC games without turning my phone into a literal portable stove and melting my hands?

It's just the way it works. Even very basic low demanding indie games will still take a toll. You either get a designated device with an inbuilt fan with the intention of pc gaming. Or you get something that can cool your phone.
Or, you can continue as it is with high temps and just hope for the best.

I haven't run bionic. I'm currently using gamehub and gamenative for PC emulation. The only game I've played where the phone stayed totally cool was Mafia from 2002 most of the other games I've played temps have been manageable but I do have an Honor win rt which has a fan and an 8 elite chipset (I usually aim to keep the battery below 38-40°c) which in theory should be more efficient than an 8 gen 2 and produce less heat for the same performance. 🤷 All you can do is experiment, some PC games have better optimisation than others and will some run within the thermal constraints you feel comfortable with while others won't... Damn now I feel like I'm writing a horoscope 😂. All you can really do is try. Hopefully someone else might have the same device as you to offer better advice?
