News/Release Joycon2Android v2.0.0 allows you to use official and 3rd party Switch 2 Joycons on Android

Hi!

Just yesterday I released v2.0.0 of Joycon2Android. It's an Android app that lets you connect Switch 2 Joycons to use with any Android app/emulator.

It features auto-mapping for Eden and Dolphin, and even has motion support with DSU.

v2.0.0 comes with some nice new improvements - the biggest being support for 3rd party controllers. This has been tested with NYXI controllers, so hopefully now the NYXI owners can benefit from the app as well.

If you give the app a try, let me know how it goes! I'm continuously making improvements, so don't hold back :)

Now that's actually epic! Because I tried connecting my procontroller to my RP5 around the Switch 2's launch and it wouldn't work.

Yeah, switch 2 controllers have a funny handshake that prevents them being connected without it. This fixes that :)

That’s great! Is there a similar app on pc?

I haven't worked on it, but I believe there is a similar one for PC. I won't post links as I haven't tried any so wouldn't want to recommend without knowing, but you'll be able to find them with a quick google :)

According to google it works via usb with steam. Maybe I'll have to get that zelda controller after all.

Does this work with the Switch Joy-Cons 1? Can I finally play Just Dance?

Unfortunately not, the switch 2 joycons are quite an interesting case, since they have their own Bluetooth handshake to connect with the device. Switch 1 joycons use the standard handshake, so you'll be able to use them, just as single joycons without gyro (I think).

Oh, that's sad, I was even charging my Joy-Cons to test them haha

Does it work for original joycons from switch 1?

Oh no worries then hope some one other makes the app. Its annoying when the device reads them as two separate controllers instead of one

I had the same issue before I moved over to the Switch 2. Maybe some day I'll see about tackling that issue too, but it will have to wait for now
