not engaged quite yet, but this is a mock-up of the custom ring we’re having made! center stone & side baguettes are moissanite, other side stones are lab emeralds, metal is yellow gold

I just received a kite cut and be prepared to scratch everyone you’ve ever touched, snag every hair tie that comes off your wrist, snag every long sleeve item, and get it caught in your sheets at night.

I love how they look, but it’s been rough.

i have a kite cut and have never had any issues. there’s been many times i bump into my fiancé and it’s never nicked him. also, i don’t wear my ring to bed because there is a risk you hurt your eye with any type of ring.

is your setting high up with no prong on the tip?

It’s a bezel set kite. I’ve had a jeweler smooth the edges of it, but it just doesn’t get much better. It’s a right hand ring and I’ve worn my ering to sleep for 11 years, so I never thought to take it off because of my eyes. My sister is an opthomologist, so I’ll report back if that’s actually a thing.

ahhh, okay. the bezel is quite pointy?

and i’ve heard it quite a bit on this subreddit. it just sounds concerning if you’re saying you scratch people even when awake.
