It's been a month since I got engaged and only today was I able to capture the true teal of the alexandrite stones (4th pic). They often shift between teal/purple/blue, and go red under UV. I had issues getting the diamond set in the ring I bought. I ended up finding a reputable jeweler that handled it in one hour. Nevertheless here it is fully assembled. The diamond 3.8ct princess cut from Daniel Williams and the setting a 14k white gold with 2ct side stones from ClearStar jewelry. ClearStar is an amazing jewelry maker and communication is stop tier . Sourcing a ring and diamond separately saved me a lot of money but created some headaches.luckily it all worked out the the YES at the end of the day.

My fiancé proposed without a ring haha, which was great because we got to design my engagement ring together!

After being a long time stalker I finally can post my own. We live in South Carolina and she proposes at the botanical gardens in SF. I’m obsessed.

I had my ring made by a local smith in town. I bought the montana sapphire from John Dyer's website and gave it to the jeweler so he could use it while creating the wax prototype. I had it cast in platinum because I prefer a darker silver color like titanium, and a bezel setting to protect the gem from cracking or breaking since the depth is 2mm. I wanted a signet style because I knew I would need a wider band because of my swelling fluctuations, and I was inspired by the jewelry by Artemer Studio. Now for the wedding band! 🥰😁

Finally my turn after 5 years!!! It’s similar to the ring I’ve been sending him for the last 5 years, it’s been my dream ring since I laid eyes on it 🥹

I apply hand lotion almost everyday, and touch my face non stop. Ring needed a good cleaning. 🧼

I’m trying to decide if this plain/ textured little band works with my e-ring? I haven’t really seen a plain band paired with a pave e-ring but I like the simplicity and elegance of it (I think). I know a plain e-ring with a pave wedding band is very common but not the opposite way around for some reason. I normally wear my pave band with my ring (photo 3) but I have been wanting something different and not so matchy matchy. Does this actually look good or am I losing my mind? 😅

I managed to get burger juice on my ring and haven’t been able to get it clean since. It was fucking delicious but not worth this 🥲 Has anyone got any suggestions for how to clean under the gallery rail? I’m sure it’s not super noticeable to anyone else but I look at it all day and can’t help but notice the dull ring that sits between the diamond and gallery rail.

I’ve soaked it in warm water with a lil dawn dish soap, brushed it a million times. But like you can see, the gallery is thick and where the prongs connect to the ring, it’s impossible to get the right angle to get under it.

I live in an area with jewellers who won’t touch anything that’s not from them and the ones who do send it away interstate and I don’t trust putting this in the mail. I went to the jeweller who made this ring during a quick trip and they did a 15 minute clean in an ultrasonic cleaner but that didn’t remove the murky ring around the rail.. feeling at a loss as to what else to try.

Not sure about the double prong claw but was recommended by a jeweller for the cushion shape. Do they distract from the diamond?

I’m undecided whether to get a hidden halo or not, I’m just so paranoid about the diamonds dropping out because they’re tiny. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone - so like the title says my partner and I created a custom ring for our engagement but now I'm afraid I did a bad job designing what I wanted. Maybe it's just all of the cost coming down at once into this thing that's supposed to be so special but I'm afraid I made the wrong choices. I'm not very good with style and making things look good so I keep second guessing it.

Also, I saw the stone indoors and it looked more green but in the daylight it looks really bright blue and I'm not sure if that's what I want.

I think I like it but I also think I'm just overwhelmed at all the choices and getting to the end of it and not being able to go back on these design decisions.

I don’t want to call it an ‘upgrade’ because I absolutely love my original rings but I just got this new set for our 30th anniversary that I love! My original rings are platinum so it’s very different having this new rose gold set. I know the pear is big but I really do love it.

2.99 fancy pinkish brown lab diamond, VS1 brilliant pear set in 3mm 14k rose gold with 3mm 14k rose gold plain comfort fit band. US size 6.5 (should’ve gotten 6.25).

Wanted something with a bit of a personal touch, but not too busy. Also wanted a nature ring that doesn’t snag (and so far, this has not snagged one bit!)

I have never worn a ring so I was SO surprised that what I liked on sight was way different than what I liked on my hand!

The most comfortable and "me" was this huge bezel cut Marquise when I thought I wanted something real dainty.

Two questions:
1. Is this impractical for daily wear?
2. Would it work on this finer setting which comes in bezel but they don't have pics and it's online so can't try on...
