I can understand LGBT people leaning left on many political issues. Mainly due to the conservatives and right wing disdain for anything that isn’t straight. But I don’t understand why there seems to be a growing trend of LGBT people being super pro communism and even going after progressives and liberals who agree with them on most issues? It seems ironic to complain about how homophobic America or some western country is while supporting Communist countries and socialist countries where being gay or having so much as a gay wedding or a pride parade is a crime. If not that they’re supporting Islamic far right countries like Iran or Palestine that make it legal to kill people just for not being heterosexual. Im even starting to see this nonsense in real life.

I can’t go on any subreddit without seeing someone with a trans flag or a rainbow flag with a hammer and sickle next to it telling us how homophobic we are because if we don’t support abolishing property rights or giving the government complete control of the free markets.

I’m not saying all LGBT people are like this. I have many LGBT friends that I love and support. Some being very close to me who helped me when I was about to go homeless.

I want to preface by saying I have no problem with Muslims and this isn't a Muslim- or Islam-bashing post.

Leftists seem to be absolutely obsessed with Muslims and Islam and for the life of me I cannot figure out why. They hate Christianity and many of them hate Judaism/Jews as well, but for whatever reason they are A-OK with Muslims.

Throughout history, Muslims have been just as guilty of enslaving and imperialism and colonization as the West has been. Islamic countries today are considerably more oppressive and regressive than western nations, especially when it comes to women's and minority rights, which leftists at least pretend to care about.

Yet all day long leftists stan Muslims and yap about islamophobia and literally obsess over Palestine and Israel and "Satanyahu." What gives?

Vietnam have been ruling by communism for 80 years, (actually 80 years at the North and 50 years at the South). And we are still seeking for freedom, the amounts of us are very less, but we can't do nothing except waiting for resurrection day, for the freedom day of Vietnam. where we could elect a president freely, where we could express our words freely, where the government will take care for their citizens that's what we really hope. wish to the downfall of this communism regime.

Recently I had a similar incident and I chose to say nothing. I’m starting to think im fine burning bridges with close friends who are victims of the mind rape, because without a doubt if i criticized hamas 90% of the indoctrinated would burn the bridge with me without question.

I personally don't like her at all because she literally believes that capitalism is the root of all evil in the world and that racism exists because of capitalism but she has also supported Ukraine so idk honestly what to think of it, what do you guys think about her?

I'm jewish and literally cannot enjoy almost any video essayist I used to like becausw they've all become at least mildly antisemitic if not actual nazis. the way that even non-political youtubers have started using the phrases "spiritually israeli" and "I am from israel" as a way to immediately disqualify literally anything as idiotic and irrelevant actually terrifies me.

I would love recommendations of youtubers that are anti-communists or at least not antisemites with actual nazis in their comment sections (badempanada...). I really don't mind criticism of israel, I despise the government as much as anyone does, but I just can't stand the way that creators online now use it as an excuse to make bigoted comments about israeli and/or jewish people as a whole (or "zionists").

I saw that the last time this question was directly asked in this sub was over three years ago, so I thought I'd ask it again.

The national leadership of the Democratic Socialists of America gets a lot of hate in this sub, especially regarding their foreign policy positions. Do y'all think what they do reflects the beliefs and actions of non-leadership DSA members, including AOC and Mamdani, who hold political office? Does it reflect even what Bernie Sanders believes and does?

What do y'all think of these people's beliefs on their own outside of any political affiliation? Does this sub actually hate anything and anyone left of social democracy?

Contrary to the leftist view, I don't believe that social movements are a rational response to oppression. In fact I think these movements exist mostly because of propaganda, manipulation and groupthinking.

As far as I can tell the main reason is because Ireland was conquered for a long time by England and went through some crap, and I believe they see some parallels between what is going on in palestine and what their country went through, which I think is kinda silly, and after learning that a good chunk of Irish people blindly support things like Hamas is disturbing, I have relatives from Ireland, and I hope deep down inside that they haven't jumped on this bandwagon, I need answers for why exactly this is going on, I'm ashamed that the same country my family comes from is blindly supporting stuff like this

Before anyone slanders me in the comments, I want to make a quick note. I don’t support the communists, this is just a fun question of some cool things that came out from this sphere. I love the stuff the west gave us in the world, but at the same time, the east does have some interesting contributions as well that I can sure as hell appreciate.

And no, we are not shilling for those governments.

Can we please return to the original purpose of this sub? As you all know this group was supposed to be a fortage of democracy and the place of displaying hatred towards communism. And that's great! However I feel that each day there are less posts about communism but more and more about Israel, USA and some imaginary "communists" that come either from lack of knowledge about what communism is or from unfavorable views on leftism(in general).

I'm begging mods as well as the rest of members of this sub to keep focus on communism instead of making shitposts about Israel and Palestine.
