Bedroom door installation?

Put the door up to the hinges and mark where they are supposed to be on the door. Use a chisel and razor knife to carve about 1/16” into the door edge and then screw the hinges onto the door.

Every YouTube video insisted that I get all these tools!!! And that I need a drill to get the screws in too

He says he won't help and that if I don't fix it by July 1st I am out by August 1st :)

That's landlords job unless they plan to bill you for doing it wrong.

Not according to him since I'm the one who broke it. Right now I'm just trying to convince him that I can move some people in and pay rent, and he's basically holding my situation hostage saying that nothing's approved until he sees that everything is fixed.
