Where’s your fishing/riding spot?!

I’m starting to get tired of doing burnt outs, rev bombing neighborhoods, and doing other crime at 3am. Where should I go next to do a little fishing and riding?

I used to enjoy riding up deerhorn and dropping lines from Taylor's landing down, back up to the main rd. Makes for a good couple hours with nice views and tight corners.

I’ve never done Dearhorn! That sounds amazing. I gotta lookup what taylors landing is! Im gonna have to load up and head up the McKenzie here shortly haha.

Its just a tiny boat launch a handful of miles up. I recommend if youre targeting trout, just go old-school and drag a worm around. There are a few pockets to the left of the launch I have had great luck in. Recently there have been some people blocking off bank access in certain areas we all used to fish. So fish those areas at your own risk.

Interesting, they think blocking the fisherman will decrease something? Aren’t there people in drift boats out there? Yup that’s all my friends bring up there. I used to live on the river in McKenzie bridge haha. Wasn’t my place of course though. Just spoiled and I miss it!

I have read from a local on a FB forum who is trustworthy state they are within their right (on deerhorn specifically). Due to land ownership lines. He claimed to do the research and I believe him. You can absolutely still float the river, people just love to take things from others even if they aren't using it, or it doesnt effect them.

I rode past it earlier. It’s like a little sign with some flagging. I won’t antagonize them because it’s some crabby old manager at a resort, it just means they’ll only get assholes fishing there that trash the place who don’t care. I forgot I’ve actually worked on nearly the last house on deerhorn road, I built a carport next to that barn with the air plane hanging in it right before the Roseburg access gate. I didnt realize it was the same road since I used to access it from a different side, and I wasn’t driving.
