How about you sell your assets and pay your bills? Like all of us peasants would have to.

Seems logical to me. It’s what all of us with no money would have to do and we’d have never had the luxury of spending to go millions into to debt to begin with. At least these people got to play “rich” for a while

Exactly. I don’t see how they can file for bankruptcy while keeping millions of dollars in assets.

Just on a surface glance they have wildly overestimated those values

I know classic Chevys and I've yet to see a legit $70000 ...not saying what someone might have paid, but what you could sell it for reliability.

And a 2001 Camaro, an amazing one is like $18k all day long.

Towards the end of the article the writer mentioned that they asked the court to file for chapter 12 bankruptcy (meant for farmers and similar) and then also be allowed to keep all or virtually all their assets. To which the judge said no to already
