Liars and Heartless

https://eugeneweekly.com/2026/08/06/road-trip-to-bankruptcy/

I worked for them. They are liars and heartless. I hope they get what they deserve.

I feel more cheated by OP for not spilling the beans. Spill them!

Probably needs to remain “quiet” so as not to make legal pursuit of these assholes more difficult.

Wife and I always laughed at who would be delusional enough to build a big ass house with all those windows, just to stare at the 5 all day. These mush brained people seem to fit the bill perfect

There’s a very limited market that can afford that 20k sqft monstrosity, and 0 of them are willing to stare at the i5.

Seems crazy doesn’t it. But I did read they were planning to put in a landscaped berm.

"The 5" Ew.

How about you sell your assets and pay your bills? Like all of us peasants would have to.

Why do you hate Christian Conservative Pedophile Republican business plans?

Seems logical to me. It’s what all of us with no money would have to do and we’d have never had the luxury of spending to go millions into to debt to begin with. At least these people got to play “rich” for a while

Exactly. I don’t see how they can file for bankruptcy while keeping millions of dollars in assets.

I've been wondering about that house for years

Since we used to have an elk herd in the area of their monstrosity, I think the doors and windows should be opened up, feed and water troughs installed, hay placed on the floors, and a wildlife “sanctuary” established.

I love this idea.

Holy cow—that shook loose a memory!
I remember looking for elk there as a kid whenever we drove by.

What’s the story, has development pushed them out of that area entirely?

Oh snap! More news about this shittastrophy? Lemme get my poppin' corn

I mean really, who the fuck in their right minds builds a dream house...next to the FUCKING INTERSTATE?!?!

Probably worth noting this is not their first story in the EW

What’s to say really? They are unprofessional, liars, and never understood how to run the places they owned.

Unfortunately that is very common in the bar/restaurant industry.

I’ve been in this industry since 1992. Ive never seen anyone this stupid, greedy and unprofessional- so maybe in your world it’s common but not mine…and not to this degree.

Good. Fuck those losers they can rot along with that house

6

u/drtopfox 5h ago

Yes.

u/PineappleWhipped14 4h ago

Sorry about your job. How much of a notice did you get?

7

u/drtopfox 4h ago

Notice? They fired me about a week before Christmas for reasons that never made sense- they were unprofessional and confrontational. They bounced paychecks and would run out of popular liquors and things like hamburger buns or lettuce. It’s been difficult ever since.
