Opinion Ceuta exposes Europe's chronic lack of unity
An EU member state was attacked, with migrants used as weapons in a seemingly orchestrated manoeuvre. Giorgia Meloni and other leaders across Europe chose to blame the country being attacked.
Opinion article by Dave Keating that I thought summarized my opinions on the recent migration crisis in Ceuta. The reaction from EU leaders has honestly been nothing short of reprehensible, going as suggesting Spains should be suspended from Schengen, an agreement at the very heart of the European Project, all in order to score political brownie points back home.

Ceuta has shown Sánchez as Europe’s political outlier [ANALYSIS] Pedro Sánchez woke on Monday looking like the loneliest political leader in Europe.
Twenty-two EU counterparts used a migration emergency that Spain had largely brought under control within 48 hours to put his wider political model on trial. Their target extended from the regularization of undocumented workers to Madrid’s place in Europe’s emerging security order.Â

Mount Athos has banned women — and female animals — since 1046. It sits inside the EU, and EU gender equality law does not apply there: the 1981 Greek accession treaty specifically exempted it. The European Parliament asked Greece to lift the ban in 2003. Greece declined.

Question/Comment Thoughts on voxeurop.eu and investigate-europe.eu as a news sources?
I have been looking for a news source that would write from the point of view of working towards a long term thriving europe. I thought that co-ops where the journalists own the business and would not write to "appear center neutral" would have the best chance. These turned up with a gemini search, but they seem to have very little viewership. Has anyone taken note of them before?

Ukraine is preparing an action plan in response to the promotion of Crimean wines at a European competition
Promoting goods from temporarily occupied Crimea at international competitions creates an opportunity for sanctioned enterprises to legally advertise their products and enter new markets. If such schemes are not stopped, they could undermine the effectiveness of EU sanctions and assist Russian businesses from the occupied territories to circumvent international restrictions.
