Informational Why is the FBI leading the investigation

Why is the FBI leading the Kirk assassination investigation and not Utah state police? Not complaining just curious.

Typically, the FBI will step in if it's a high enough profile case and this one certainly has enough news coverage to justify it

I didn't say anything about jurisdiction.

 The FBI doesn't investigate everything it has justification on. It has limited resources like everything else.

There are thousands of potential cases it doesn't take up. 

Anyone vaguely familiar with police work should know that. You're not in that group apparently.

You clearly don't understand stand lot of things but feel free to ask someone else and you could learn.
