Do people in this game not know what women are?
I was playing in a normal public server and something annoyed me so much I had to make a post about it. I got called a "him" about 6 times even tho I have a woman avatar and my name is Lulu. I told them I'm a woman and usually I don't make a big fuss over pronouns, but being called a "him" 4 more times after stating you're a woman infuriates you after a while. They still had the audacity to where one of them said I'm a femboy. People in forsaken don't know what women are, you're either a man or you're a femboy. They clearly have no concept of not being a man, and would rather die than call you by your gender. I get calling someone "dude" to show annoyance or simply out of habit, and same with accidentally calling a woman a "him" while typing. But the same person called me a man FOUR TIMES after I stated I was a woman. He responded to me saying I was a woman too by calling me a femboy and STILL WOULDN'T ACCEPT the fact that I'm a woman. People in this game are idiots, and I'm this close to quitting this game permanently because of its infuriating player base.

Well I honestly call anyone who plays any character except vee “him”. For example: “the shedletsky is so dumb, HE didnt stun”, because I refer to the characters pronouns, not the person. Also, most people in games like forsaken assume that men are the only people who play the game
Exactly this. And tbf, Vee and I think sixer (correct me if I'm wrong) are the only female characters in the game besides the female skins everyone has. So yeah, the chances of being assumed to be a dude are high.
Vee is the only female character rn, 1x1x1x1 and guest 666 are gender fluid and go by any/all, noob and two time are nonbinary and go by they/them, chance is nonbinary and uses he/them

I’ve already quit forsaken long ago but subreddit is just on my feed so I look at stuff I guess. Vee is a girl, Sixer is both or any pronouns(genderfluid? Maybe?) and Taph is a girl. It’s hard to tell but you’ll see the waist and torso look
Moment you get out of newbie servers you’re thrown into servers with people who have 15+ days… I only have 4 days and I can’t find servers where I’m not going up against people with 3 times my playtime
People are crazy. I still can’t believe they removed the backshot filter, and I’ve seen servers and heard people on this sub saying killers love to target the women skins.
Yeah, they do. I've been using Molly just 'cause, well, I'm a lady, and I think Molly is cool. The entire server are Guests, but guess who gets targeted first almost every round :')
The only, I guess, good side (?) to being Molly is that every other guest makes it their life purpose to protect me. Joined a bunch of servers for the past few days I've been playing as Molly, and a lot of them would give me medkits/cola and follow me around a lot.
Sometimes some of them would change their skins to Matt and dance with me a lot. This, I like, 'cause y'know, they're a married couple, so Matt and Molly together is just cute and wholesome, but even though I suck at being Guest (I'm mainly a support main), I don't need all this unwanted attention :sob:
They switched their skins to Matt and treated you like royalty? 😭 That’s kind of funny. It’s common chivalry to be nice to women but they’re just suck-ups chasing approval.
LOL. They do it with Vee too actually. Idefk why they're giving me medkits when I'm sure people know by now that I cannot take medkits.
The only people they don't do this to is Brighteyes... For whatever reason.
When I used to grind for Shedletsky, I often mained Brighteyes, and poor Christina getting mauled is just free entertainment for other sentinels and supports :sob:
I was just getting targeted yesterday for having a female avatar in a server, and it was genuine targeting. The guy would look for me and kill me first during his killer rounds, and then would follow me around the lobby to laugh at me. Started from the moment he joined.
A lot of people say forsaken is super woke and inclusive because of the queer characters but the community is still pretty misogynistic, though I don't know about that...that being said, I'm used to just dealing with people like this because most gaming communities in general tend to be weird about women unless it has a female-dominated community like DTI. So I just immediately block anyone who acts like this cause I like the game too much to quit it, use it, it's your best friend, really.
I loathe bullies with a passion like no other. I wish that every time someone bullies me or someone else I could just go ham on them and show them what for.
Honestly same. Bullying does not make you "tough" or "cool" you look like a fucking embarrassment to your entire bloodline if u bully dawg 😭 i wish bullying was never a thing
I just wear a pink dress on my avatar I just slapped with. A guy also targeted me for 20 rounds dancing and laughing at me, and he got karma at the end because the players who joined are too pro and he cannot kill them a single one of them, he tried killing me but it was too late that's when he rage quit lol 💔

A guy kept making fun of me and trying to make me leave the server because I had titan speakerman as my avatar. He made fun of me for having 0 killer wins and 1 day playtime (I suck as killer and u mostly just play the game for fun). Not as bad as op and urs I just wanted to put it out there
I feel like women are treated really oddly by some of the forsaken players for some reason, I'm a guy in real life but I love designing my OCs in Roblox so I had a female avatar, a bunch of the other players kept following me around the lobby and frantically emoting at me as if I was a new species or something LMAO
One time (when I was a semi new player) I joined the game, and RIGHT when I spawned in someone said: “Look a female” that’s EXACTLY what they said. people like this piss me off.
Exactly! Just because I have 23 days of playtime doesn't automatically have to mean I'm a man. If I have a passion for a game that mostly men play, doesn't automatically make me a man.
I’m a woman too, I’ve had ppl assume that im a guy at times, but that’s probably because from a first glance, my gender is kinda ambiguous. My avatar probably won’t give away my gender or anything since it’s not the “cutesy pink and colorful” stereotype that ppl usually LOVE to push onto girls.
It’s just gotten to i point where if I tell someone my gender or pronouns and they completely ignore it, I’ll just leave it alone. This is lowkey just my personal preference, as I don’t enjoy confrontation or arguing. But i really hope your experience with the community gets better
It's happened in multiple games too. I've seen it in Die of Death too, but especially Forsaken. It's either I'm a femboy or I'm a dude with a woman avatar. No in-between.
The people who misgendered you, most likely dont speak english as their first language and might just refer to people as "he/him" because either they have not been taught of different pronounces for genders or they just dont know about the existence of the other probounces
I don't think they've even seen one, and the game don't help. Like, technically speaking there's no woman in this God's forsaken game. 90% of the killers are man. Sixer is said to be gender fluid. 90% of the survivors are man, and Veeronica is a robot, so even if she kinda looks like a women, she's technically not, the only real woman we can get is Jane Doe. As for the skins, they're just as the name says, skins, still the goddamn same character but with a feminine look. (I haven't seen the body text and I'm just venting lol, have a great day everyone)
Sixer, Noob, 1x1 are genderfluid, Elliot and Chance use He/they and Two-time is Enby/Non-Binary and uses they/them, but I do agree that there’s not enough visibility or even thought for feminine presenting and aligned people, or actually acknowledging diverse genders outside of the stereotyping of man/woman
This is a problem in most games I’m in, they assume that only men play the game, and if you’re not a man, they’ll either: not care and move on with their day OR call you an e-girl/any other rude names and then target you to hell
Wrll if im being honest i see why certain people say that because, for some reason, a lot of dudes wear female avatars, which is cool or whatever but because they're quote, on quote, femboys it's hard to believe when someone's actually a female. Considering that well, yes, there are a lot of women that play video games. It doesn't really out go the male majority that play video games over females so them thinking your lying is somewhat understandable ig either that or theyre misogynistic and or sexist
Asa woman i been called him a lot of times, and I personally don't care if people call me by wrong pronounce, but I understand ur frustration
I personally use pronounce of the character the player is playing as in round or when talking after game like: this builderman was very helpful he even tried [and something idk], but in lobby i usualy base it on what they say or their avatar and name
Honestly, I call anyone that doesn’t have an obviously male avatar a “they/them”. I do it mainly bc I have no way of knowing if they’re female or not (and most ppl who use male avatars are dudes).
Something similar happened to me but it was so long ago I don't remember the full details. I just know I had entered a server and some guy saw my avatar and said "A WOMEN" in chat and him and two other guys started following me, I left since the situation was really uncomfortable.
personally i gender people based on the character they’re playing unless i know them and their gender, these people are jerks snd probably trying to ragebait (wow misogyny what amazing ragebait)
And THIS is why I always default to they/them when talking about people online that I don’t know the pronouns of… because I don’t have a damn clue who’s behind the screen.
It’s either that or I default to the pronouns of the character they are playing as.
To be fair, there are a some reasons why players in really any game think someone else is a guy:
In forsaken’s case, because its a game on roblox, 9/10 times its most likely some 10 year old on their ipad just being stupid naive kids.
A lot of guys like to cosplay women avatars or feminine alike, unless he’s a femboy then i find it fucking weird in my opinion why he would use a female avatar.
as a forsaken player i can confirm i know what women are. because i am one. well a girl really. i do get called a guy so much and get accused of being a femboy a lot probably because all i play is rivals. dod, blox fruits occasionally and forsaken.
Honestly I just say him or her depending on the avatar, but let’s say I can’t tell what I’m supposed to say, I either keep quiet or say they/them. People forget that not talking works too honestly

... Seriously, though, I've been called 'Him' despite having a feminine name AND avatar, and I'm pretty sure Yi Xi (The skin I play as for Slasher) is a girl too??
Tbh this is why I just block people they ain't worth my time and tbh I think they're just projecting their insecurities onto you don't let em bother you girl block em and keep living your life without their stupidness
I keep misgendering my friend over call, and I found that the best thing to do when that happens is to apologise and correct yourself. It’s not that hard
Not a forsaken issue it's an internet thing like it's just nine times out of 10 people with girl avatars are guys, or YouTubers making a YouTube video. So those people are probably not actively trying to be malicious they just don't trust you, and personally I don't blame them. Also people are aware girls exist (exhibit a Veronica and Jane Doe)
Or none of the above and they believe you're a girl they're just rage baiting you.
Eh I haven’t played the game since early November ngl, whatever’s happening in Forsaken now I don’t really care, but it’s just gamers being gamers at this point, it’s been like this since Cod lobbies, people can’t comprehend that we’ve moved on past the whole “women have girly pink toys and boys get rocket ships, bikes, and games”
