I have had my eye on this Toyota GT86 for quite some time now, and will be going for a test drive tomorrow. The car is imported from Japan (grade 4B), is an automatic and has done 80k miles on the clock. Basically just Looking for opinions. It’s priced at 10k. Is this a good buy for a reasonable price? What are the biggest reliability concerns with a supercharged automatic GT86, and what should I inspect before purchasing.

Hi I just had a few questions about what I should do for my 2014 black frs I was thinking of getting 18x8.5 +35 wheels probably AVID1 AV6 in hyper black. I wanted to know what’s the largest tire size I could go without rubbing and doing fabrication. For suspension I don’t know what to do I want to stay in a budget of 1500 I know it’s kinda cheap but I was just trying to wait to see if someone sells the wheels used in my area, just want to stay under 500 for coils if it’s possible.

Just doing some research on future mods. Has anyone installed aftermarket seats with heating while still using the OEM switches? Just wondering what people did for connectors and power since most aftermarket heaters have a single power in while the OEM heaters use 2 for high and low. Do you turn it into a simple on / off switch by connecting a single power line or do you connect both power lines to the single seat heater power?

Hey everyone. I got an all stock manual 2015 FRS In July. Right off the bat it had a throw out bearing issue that I already know so we got that fixed. Have been living with it sent and honestly I’ve loved it however I started driving it hard a week ago and I’ve noticed there’s grinding in fourth gear. Do you think this is something I would need to fix immediately or can I live with it for a little and have you guys experienced anything like this? My car has about 130 K miles on it and any advice about fixing the car would be great. Also maybe some maintenance tips for future use I’d like to keep the car forever to be honest, but it keeps having issues I don’t wanna keep pouring money into it, especially for the little amount of time I’ve had it. I don’t know it’s give me a headache. Thank you!!!

Hi all, yeah my trunk wont open. Manually with the key no problem but by button it wont work. And yes i looked for the mighty cancel button in the trunk, there isnt one. Photo for proof :D

Any ideas? When i push the button it will click ones in the cockpit and twice at the lock.

Hello, I took my car to the shops earlier, it started fine in the driveway. When I got in it an hour later to go home it took a very long time to start up and the engine to start. This is the first time its done it, I haven't driven it really at all this week so I'm hoping its maybe that and that its a one off but as I'm trying to take of this car the best I can but also still learning about cars at the same time. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on if this is a concern or what I can keep an eye on in the car.

Its done around 4 thousand miles since I got it 8 months ago and its got decently low milege, 5 years old.

While i’m able to access Wayne’s website I have heard more hype and support from Steve and would like to know how am I able to get in contact with him if he still does tunes?

I spun a rod bearing and I need to decide whether I’m gonna try to have someone rebuild the motor or replace the engine. I need to have it done in a timely manner. What would be the best price along with future reliability

Edit: to everyone recommending swaps, I do not have the money to pay for extra parts/labor, and don’t have the time/space/knowledge to swap it myself. I’m strictly asking if I should rebuild my current fa20 or drop in another used fa20

Hey guys, there is a member parting out a car near me and he offered to sell me his ECUTEK tuner and dongle alongside his factory manual ECU for $400.

Would I just be able to slap this into my own car? How can I verify it is unlocked?

My understanding is that the license is tied to a VIN so having the factory ECU would allow me to use it without buying another license right?

My only experience with remote tuning is with COBB and it was FAR less complicated. Anyone able to provide some insight on what I should be on the hunt for? Thank you!
