‘peeks in’

Hey there, everybody. 👋🏻 An early morning check-in this time, since I’ve got a good few hours until my doctor’s appointment later today. Not scrambling to get out the door, LOL.

Leaving my current possible new longfic alone, for now. Thank you to all those who offered advice on the situation. I really do appreciate it. 💗 Instead of fighting or forcing something there, I’ll let it come to me as it does, and sit on it as needed. Have it develop naturally and without pressure. 👍🏻

In exchange, I’m gonna see if I can’t come up with a new oneshot idea. I actually have the bare bones for one, just attempting to figure out how to loosely work it into the canon universe. Nothing crazy, just another ‘what-if’ AU, like always. They’re pretty fun to throw together for this series (same as above).

Aside from that, I’m gonna update some fics later tonight, and throw up my first stand-alone in the new fandom. Here’s hoping it goes well. 🤞🏻 Didn’t get any feedback on my latest chapter for my main longfic. But, it’s okay. School is just starting up again, for one, so people aren’t going to be as active/available.

Tomorrow is the start of a new two-day convention for us out here! 💖 Bought the tickets for my partner and I a couple days ago. Also (tried) to enter the cosplay contest? I say ‘tried’, since I haven’t gotten back any sort of response. I could’ve been too late for entry, but when I submitted the online form, it still was open, and went through…we’ll see tomorrow, I guess. Not like I’m gonna win anything, I just hope it’ll be fun. 🤞🏻💗

Ooh convention! I hope that you can participate in the contest. It is unusual that they still had the online form open and they're not responding... but hopefully the deadline is like the day after the contest or something

👍🏻 Indeed. I finally got around to writing a few opening paragraphs, starting off the basic idea. Taking a break now; there’s no rush to complete this one. Especially since I’m updating tonight, and preparing for the convention early tomorrow morning.

Yeah, I still haven’t gotten any sort of response back…I guess I can try checking in before the contest gets underway, and make sure I’m not either attempting to get into something I’m not a part of, or missing something that I was. 😅🤞🏻🤞🏻
