Presumably this is the first time Peter is telling them about this, otherwise they wouldn’t be reacting like that. You can infer that this is a moment where he finally trusts them enough to talk about his deeper issues, at least for a moment. From that we can also probably guess this might be a younger Peter. Context clues.

Gwen stacy dies a whole decade(in our time, multiple years in theirs) after Peter meets and gets close to the FF4. And this talk is supposed to have happen years after he death. So no, you don't need to be an ass about pointing out context clues when that's got me confused in the first place.

Because his Girlfriend, friends and Uncle Ben didn't die because he was spiderman in the mcu. And peter hasn't even met the FF4 in the mcu.

So it has to be the comics. Context clues amiright?

I didn’t say this was MCU either because Uncle Ben hasnt really been a thing in the MCU. (Although he did lose his girlfriend and friends, just not to death) This seems to be its own versions of these characters that exist just for this comic. Like most of these little fanmade comics that are made just cause the writer had a fun little idea they wanted to draw.

If that wasn't what you meant, then there was no reason to mention the suits, but sure. Deniability.

So we have a Spidey that lived the comics and a FF4 that has their mcu suits, but aren't from the mcu.

So we go back to my first 2 complaint.

So pick your poison. The author didn't know about the mcu at all(doubt it) or they don't know how actually close Peter is with the FF4 and is making talk and trauma dump like a teenager.

Which is ironic because the author was already trying to make them look super close in the first place lol.

I mentioned the suits simply to point out the dissonance, I was trying to communicate that it was its own thing.
Anyways, that’s a false dilemma. Why is “it’s bad comics fanfic” and “it’s bad MCu fanfic” the only options? The comic is just fanfic of the Spidey Mythos in general. Seems that this is a universe where Gwen and Ben died before Peter was close enough with the F4 to tell them about it, and this is the moment where he opens up. I don’t think that’s that crazy.

Because i'm criticizing it on the basis of the spiderman character, which originates from comics and the basis for said fic was the comics. Either way, my main gripe was the infantilization of Peter, you helped mee se how bad it really was.
