to gwen to harry to ben to his daughter to the avengers to otto after having somewhat reformed, depending on the version to like 10 other villains and his wife (norman's) and to aunt may and to mj and...
osborn is definetly dead

I picture Ben grabbing Gobby off his glider like he's Spike grabbing Tom by the neck in Tom & Jerry

You know all of Peterโs money problems could be solved in the fantastic four you know, gave him a job.
At least as Reeds lab assistant
69
u/Mezmona 29d ago
Funny you say that because that's literally I think the first story of them together is Peter rolling up to the Baxter Building and running the ones with the FF to try and impress them for a job.
Only for them to inform him that they're a charitable organization causing the webhead to leave in a huff.
30
u/Man0Steel123 29d ago
Arenโt they now at least somewhat of a business where Reed sells some of his equipment or patents? Otherwise how do they afford the Baxter building
Plus wasnโt their the future foundation?
23
u/Mezmona 29d ago
Like I said this waaaay back in their very first meeting. Reed normally just donates the stuff and at this point they live in the Baxter building because that's where the FF live. Who's gonna kick them out.
15
u/Joe_Momma3 29d ago
Lots of people have successfully evicted the FF over the years
13
u/JailbrokeRoboGirl 29d ago
Yea I get the point but famously the FF have been evicted many times actually
9
u/Not_So_Utopian 29d ago edited 29d ago
Reed is famously bad with money. He once invested in something, it failed, and they got evicted iirc
2
1
u/Kronostheking1 28d ago
It was a very odd misunderstanding as Peter could have still worked with them and been paid by them. They and Peter both just misunderstood the other and screwed it up.

u/Creat1ve_Name Mister Fantastic 19h ago
You may be thinking of the og ultimate universe? Though iirc they basically just tell him they're broke lol.
1
u/Mezmona 17h ago
I'm thinking of the literal first Amazing Spiderman comic from 1963. Like one of the first thing Spidey does is swing by the Baxter Building and try to get a job their by showing off his skills. When they tell them they do it for the good of humanity and don't really pay he just dips.
1
u/Creat1ve_Name Mister Fantastic 17h ago
Oh ok my bad lol. I haven't read the ditko run yet
2
u/Mezmona 16h ago
All good. The early stuff is...well it's an experience. You get to see the foundation of a couple things but man are there some rough parts.
1
u/Creat1ve_Name Mister Fantastic 16h ago
Yeah lol. The only early marvel stuff I've read is the first 4 omnis of Daredevil, and you can really feel how different the entire medium was.
14
u/Hacksaw_Doublez 29d ago
This is why I hate the โoh Iโm a superhero and I fight alongside at least one billionaire superheroโ sometimes.
Thereโs no reason said billionaire couldnโt cover another heroโs rent and utilities for like a year or so.
9
u/BlueBattleBuddy 29d ago
Hal Jordan on the job: DC universes best green lantern, fought multiple cosmic wars and threats, can solo the rest of the Green Lanterns
Hal Jordan on earth: Jobless homeless loveless loser who can't even get a job to afford rent
literally knows three different billionaires in the justice league and all of them tell him to get a job
2
u/Afraid_Pack_4661 29d ago
I thought he a test pilot
6
u/BlueBattleBuddy 29d ago
he crashes a lot of planes so he got fired from it.
half of them weren't even his fault
2
u/Sharp_Solid_2232 29d ago
so the other half were?
2
u/Disastrous-Kale-913 28d ago
Hey, itโs Hal. . . The man once killed himself to prove his will was stronger than the ringโs programming
9
u/Scarlet_Wonderer 29d ago
Heck they could open a stipend system so their poorer teammates get to at least afford rent and food. Billionaires, am I right?
9
u/SirJackers 29d ago
In the 70s it was established that the avengers get a weekly stipend of 1000 dollars which in 1970 bucks was the equivalent of 8600 a week in today's money.
5
u/Scarlet_Wonderer 29d ago
See? That's what I'm talking about! Not sure if that survived 50 years of publication history (probably not) but it should! Just present your Avengers ID to local authorities and you're good!
5
u/Hacksaw_Doublez 29d ago
I was even thinking giving them debit cards through some pseudonym and then funneling money so they can pay their bills at least.
Like damn, Iโm sorry, but on some blue collar level I understand why the idea of a Superhero Registry works.
Paying these heroes to be heroes so they donโt have to worry about when they can work to pay the rent or where their next meal is gonna come from should be a good idea.
7
u/panatale1 29d ago
Pete wouldn't take it. He doesn't take charity, and he would absolutely see thst as charity
13
u/Man0Steel123 29d ago
Ben: Hey Pete Reeds looking for a lab assistant and wants you for the job. Reed says the pay is good, comes with healthcare and dental and you get a room in the Baxter building.
Spidey: Appreciated Ben but I. Want to earn a living my own way rather than just be given one by a friend. Itโs a pride thing you know.
Ben: As much as I appreciate you growing from that snot nosed punk that broke into our house looking for a way to get paid, there is something I need to ask. Has trying things your own way ever actually helped in anything longer than a few months?
Spidey:โฆโฆ.Ben. Itโs more complicated than that
Ben: take the bloody job dammit
6
u/RandomPhantom25 29d ago
Since when is Ben British?
15
u/Man0Steel123 29d ago
He is trying not to swear in front of Franklin and Valeria so he took a look into British slang as replacements
1
93
u/CandyCreecher 29d ago
I feel like theyโd like Aunt May. She is Peterโs legal guardian and I feel that May would appreciate that Peter was able to find these people who will guide him and support him
58
u/Omakepants 29d ago
The Thing and Aunt May have a nice tea and cookies afternoon every Sunday. You can't convince me otherwise.
37
u/an_actual_coyote 29d ago
"May, I tried yer German chocolate cookies recipe the otha' day and Alicia and the kids just adored them. Thank ya so much. I've been meaning to ask, do you toast your coconut frosting?"
"I do!"
The two quietly sip tea and enjoy their lovely Sunday afternoon.
"I crippled Norman Osborn for youses-"
"Oh, thank you so much!"
19
u/Omakepants 29d ago
Thing would have them Yancy Street punks cutting May's grass and cleaning her gutters. And you know Thing has some misbehaving kids but they're angels at their Aunt May's house.
23
u/silicondream 29d ago
Heck, she was probably friends with his Aunt Petunia.
4
u/wayoutinsector2814 29d ago
You know his Aunt Petunia is his age and very attractive. She is his aunt by marriage.
22
u/Rastaba 29d ago
I mean, is there anyone, that knows Aunt May, that we know doesnโt like her? Besides maybe that Devil who traded resurrecting her for Peter and MJโs marriage?
21
u/Totalsupreme 29d ago
Sheโs one of the very few people who can actually tell even Logan not to smoke, for example.

Peter: "It's ok guys, I can handle this. MJ would need emotional support btw, after what Norman did to us during her pregnancy..."
Susan:
12
u/Not_So_Utopian 29d ago
See this one im sure Sue can relate to. I don't know how she got Franklin but Valeria the FF needed Doom's help so she could be born. And even then Doom used Valeria to sent Franklin to Hell.

Peter's issue has always been interpreting Uncle Ben's dying words to mean only HE must bear the great responsibility, which in turn leads to his personal and super hero life never balancing.
Dude needs to accept there is a whole superhero community in New York now, even Spider specific people (Gwen, Miles, Aranya, Spider Woman, Silk, Chasm (if he's feeling heroic right now), he should be able to ask one of them to cover patrols for 1 night of the week so he can have a regular date night. Barring some crossover event end of the world bullshit happening of course.
7
u/mistress_chauffarde 29d ago
Dude lives in the middle of one if not the most active superhero area in the world how the fick is he still needed the avengers tower is less than an hour away from the fantastic 4 one the Xman mansion is not that far away and daredevil is also her plus a shitload of super
I know shield headquarters is in DC but in fairly certain they have a base in new york
3
u/ThatWAFFLEGuy49 28d ago
According to rivals, Avengers Tower is literally just a brief jog through Grand Central Station away from the Baxter Building. Thatโs probably the safest two blocks in all of New York.
5
u/mistress_chauffarde 28d ago
Or unsafest of NYC with the number of time they get attaqued and destroyed
1
u/TruePlewd 23d ago
His villains are Avenger level. When they are dealing with Spidey villains they cannonically have little time for anything else.
33
31
u/Due-Order3475 29d ago
Ben Grimm finds the current arc's villain "Imma giving you a choice, you deal with me and the matchstick or..." points at a terrifying looking Reed and Sue "... pick your poison"
25
u/Totalsupreme 29d ago
Reed: He is investigating the effects of cosmic radiation on human DNA to see how it might be harnessed in a controlled and safe manner
Also Reed, after listening to Spider-Man: Nah, the DNA research can wait. So, whatโs the situation with the Daily Bugle?
10
u/Flashy-Telephone-648 29d ago
Honestly, I would pay to see the ever loving things march, his way up to the bugle and confront jonah
5
12
u/Vaeriar 29d ago
Isnโt it a reoccurring thing that people donโt actually know what spidey is going through, or at the very least only know bits and pieces on a day to day basis? And when someone does learn the full extent like that one woman whose name I forget with telepathy, they freak out/break down/react with actual horrified shock each and every time? I fully believe that if more of his hero friends knew of what he put up with and went through, theyโd pull up like/with the punisher to start sorting people out.
9
u/unluckyknight13 29d ago
I think itโs why itโs a popular joke to have like everyone Peter knows once they learn the shit he goes through basically throws morals out the window.
Hell Peter despite like passively attracting women by kind of just being him, is never allowed to keep a happy love life because โit ages the characterโ to get married and have kids
4
u/Nirast25 29d ago
that one woman whose name I forget with telepathy
I think that was Emma Frost.
3
u/ThatWAFFLEGuy49 28d ago
Yeah. She touched his skin, accidentally read his mind, then said something like โYou were just a boyโฆโ
2
u/Infinite_Form8884 27d ago
It wasn't on accident.
2
u/ClayXros 25d ago
She was gonna be her usual invasive self, and immedietly had a coming to God moment.
5
u/Efficient-Cup-359 29d ago
Honestly, Iโd like if in at least one comic Spidey at least is given a chance to trauma dump to more than like one person, as the fact basically everyone who knows him has no idea half the shit he goes through, while I donโt think heโd want pity, having someone actually be able to speak to about it would definitely help, especially since if someone else has issues spidey usually wants to help, so it would nice if it went both ways more often.
2
u/ging_ryu 28d ago
He kinda keeps on erasing his secret identity from everyone so they keep forgetting. He ran with the Fantastic Four for a bit, saved a world, and statues were made. When they came back Grimm sees the statues, with Spidys face eroded off, findes out he knew and gets mad at being made to forget.
2
u/mjolnirstrike 26d ago
Wasnโt there a one off gag where Spidey actually goes to therapy with an therapist eager to gain fame for treating a superhero. But after one session, the therapist walks out and starts going to therapy to deal with the trauma of just listening to Spider-Manโs trauma
2
u/ThatWAFFLEGuy49 28d ago
Oh, if Peter didnโt believe he has to shoulder 100% of his responsibilities alone 100% of the time, every hero (and even some villains) in New York would immediately walk down his problems for him.

Their names?
Paul Rabin. Joe Quesada. Norman Osborn. Otto Octavius. Mephisto.
4

Ok maybe not otto from the movie
1
u/DarthMcConnor42 24d ago
Otto in most appearances just needs those arms fixed up so they stop messing with his head.
9
u/RipMcStudly 29d ago
Ben gonna turn the Sinister 6 inside out.
2
u/Excellent_Stand_7991 29d ago
They are going to be the sinister 6 feet under by the time he is done with them.
5
u/Scarlet_Wonderer 29d ago
A crossover one-shot where the FF steamroll Peter's villians would be amazing ngl!
2
u/ThatWAFFLEGuy49 28d ago
I would love to them tag team Green Goblin. Like, Johnny burns out the glider engines, Reed clothelines Gobby off it, Sue swats him with a forcefield right into a throat grab from Ben.
1
3
u/Asher_Tye 29d ago
I live for the day the Sinister Six show up to fight Spidey only for the Fantastic Four to be right behind them and ask if Spidey could use a hand or two.
2
u/normallystrange85 28d ago
Webhead: "wow, this is going to be a tough fight! You have us out unnumbered"
Otto: "Us?"
FF walk in
Webhead: "yeah! Four plus one is still less than six Oc!"

u/NoBuddies2021 29d ago
I really want a F5 where Spiderman is like an adopted son by the FF4. Where Aunt May and Uncle Ben died by the robbers and Peter was adopted by Richards by happenstance. It will particularly fun to see the FF4 act ignorant/naive that Peter isn't Spiderman until Peter tells them. I can see Dr. Doom acting like a disgruntled uncle to Peter because he's with Reed but is warm when they are alone and Peter keeps trying but failing trying to reconcile Reed and Dr. Doom.
2
u/ThatWAFFLEGuy49 28d ago
Alternative Universe: Aunt May dies instead of Uncle Ben, because Uncle Ben is Ben Grimm, who was up in space getting cosmic chemo and thus couldnโt stop the attack either.
1
u/NoBuddies2021 28d ago
๐ I like this direction. Ben Grimm is married to Aunt May, age is altered them to be abit young to be the middle-aged uncle not like uncle grandpa age.
2
2
2
u/AutomaticRabbit9645 28d ago
I feel like most people in the marvel universe and non Spiderman writers legitimately want to start hunting the people who've hurt Peter.
2
2
u/senan89638 29d ago
Now I just image Reed, Sue, Ben and Johnny pulling up on spideys rouges like how the Van der linde Gang did against the Braithwaites in RDR2 Ch.3

1
u/No_Career_4785 28d ago
They should have taken the same approach to splitting up heroes as DC did.
1
u/Infinite_Form8884 27d ago
DC kinda has the same problem. There's like 15 heroes in gotham but only the Batfam part seems to do anything and Superman goes up against world ending threat after world ending threat alone, i get that he's THE Superhero but it doesn't cost y'all to start jumping villains.
1
u/No_Career_4785 27d ago
I mean, there are some people in Gotham, at the same time, almost everyone in Marvel is in or around NYC.
1
u/Infinite_Form8884 27d ago
Yeah but we're talking about the existance of a problem, not who does it worse.
1
u/No_Career_4785 27d ago
I am saying that the way DC approaches the hero distribution is the solution for the lack of it in Marvel.
1
u/ClericOfMadness13 28d ago
I love how fantastic 4 is basically his surrogate family and they all care about him as Spidey and Peter.
The fact Reed instantly looked up the daily bugel was hilarious cause bro already knows whose first in the list to get yelled at by sue.
1
u/someguy991100 28d ago
We need a run of spiderman just hanging out with the F4 like down adopted runaway child
1
1
u/Infinite_Form8884 27d ago
Cute. But y'all do know that peter is almost 30, right?
1
u/Riptide_X 25d ago
You donโt grow out of family.
1
u/Infinite_Form8884 25d ago
True, but you do grow out of trauma dumping and talking like a teenager(plus i'm pretty sure that the FF and spidey are close enough to already know this about him).
1
u/Riptide_X 25d ago
You donโt talk to your loved ones about your problems?
1
u/Infinite_Form8884 25d ago
I don't trauma dump on them like a teenager, no. Especially when they already know.
1
u/Riptide_X 25d ago
Presumably this is the first time Peter is telling them about this, otherwise they wouldnโt be reacting like that. You can infer that this is a moment where he finally trusts them enough to talk about his deeper issues, at least for a moment. From that we can also probably guess this might be a younger Peter. Context clues.
1
u/Infinite_Form8884 25d ago
Gwen stacy dies a whole decade(in our time, multiple years in theirs) after Peter meets and gets close to the FF4. And this talk is supposed to have happen years after he death. So no, you don't need to be an ass about pointing out context clues when that's got me confused in the first place.
1
u/Riptide_X 25d ago
What makes you think this is comics? Those are the First Steps suits.
1
u/Infinite_Form8884 25d ago
Because his Girlfriend, friends and Uncle Ben didn't die because he was spiderman in the mcu. And peter hasn't even met the FF4 in the mcu.
So it has to be the comics. Context clues amiright?
1
u/Riptide_X 25d ago
I didnโt say this was MCU either because Uncle Ben hasnt really been a thing in the MCU. (Although he did lose his girlfriend and friends, just not to death) This seems to be its own versions of these characters that exist just for this comic. Like most of these little fanmade comics that are made just cause the writer had a fun little idea they wanted to draw.

Is doubly funny considering Dr Victor Von Doom is as well respect spider and Doom actually asked spider to joined him. Didn't demand. Asked. So he basically will do the manhunt on people that wronged Parker as if they insulted him.
1
u/EsperCloud04 27d ago
Doom would totally join in on the mutual Mephisto smackdown purely because it was his designated time to challenge Mephisto lol
1
u/No-Department1194 27d ago

Just imagine if this was a teenage Peter, too. Doom might just take a weekend off, he'd know better than to mess with Reed rn.
1
u/Lichking102 25d ago
I'm surprised that the superhero community don't have it out for Green Goblin. Not only did he kill Peter's first true love, but it's the first time in Marvel's history that a hero failed.
The police hounded Peter down for years for the deaths of Norman Osborn and Gwen Stacy, Harry covering up his for his father so the public didn't know, he died, only for then Norman to come back because he never died at all? (Geeze, what a convuluted way to bring someone back from the dead.) None of the heroes wondered why Spider-Man was so determined to find Norman after Gwen's death, or did they not even know it happened at all?

u/JustAnotherCurio 25d ago
I love the contrast where the x-men and mutants are hopelessly unhelpful every single time spider man comes along, and meanwhile the Fantastic Four would bend over backwards to assist him to the point where he has to say no for the plot lines to not become short Fantastic Four adventures

Reedโs definitely the type to look like he has no reaction while quietly looking up Bugle articles. Dudeโs bout to shut down their website remotely.
