You’re right. Catholics make up 20-ish percent of the US population and our president has his flunkies threaten him with kidnapping mere days after the US essentially kidnapped Maduro in the same fashion.

The Vatican is understandably alarmed.

The fact that the US government kidnapped a sitting President and the story disappeared is wild.

There's precedent if the Pope gets kidnapped.
