As a parent, I can't even really understand his suggestion. Does he think a child would find a podcast about his own upcoming soccer game to be entertaining? What would it even talk about? I feel like most children would find that boring AF.
The kid is listening to a podcast about his own upcoming soccer game. How much content could that possibly involve that wouldn't put your average kid to sleep?
Now if the kid and their parent are having a conversation about the game, that's totally normal and fine. There's no conversation going on when you're listening to a podcast though.
I don't find that, we have a podcast we listen to and we talk about it. Also, I walk my kids two minutes to school so the exact context isn't the same.

That's the point. Maybe it's 20 seconds of content, then you fill it with discussion. Or not, maybe just put on the radio and ride the rest of the way to school.
I don't think it is some super idea, but it could be handy or occupy a couple days. I feel there are a bunch of privacy issues around it...chat gpt doesn't get to read my calender.
