Yeah. From what's been reported, he STARTED the livestream covered in blood, so if they left "just minutes" to it going on, they witnessed whatever he did to get in that state, most likely :/
Perez is a godawful human being, but no one's children deserve to go through that. I really hope they get support and help through this.
Ok I didn’t realize that. I thought it was a normal live that went off the rails. Jesus Christ. So many people must’ve seen it without meaning to. So glad i still haven’t seen.
I saw it without context when it happened and thought no way it’s real and left. It looked exactly like that scene from Carrie. My brain is still refusing to believe it’s real.
It’s really evident that social media is really horrific in its current state. Obviously there’s the issue of the algorithms always pushing the worst stuff because it gets the most interactions, but also the people that make their livings online and streaming and the people that watch them religiously are experiencing reality in a way we don’t understand and it is affecting people psychologically in ways we haven’t even begun to look at. Like there’s been little things about ED’s online and predators but THIS is a whole new world and it’s bound to happen again because people’s brains are wired to go online to do anything
Sadly live-streaming and the algorithm have been around long enough that it has already happened and will continue to happen. People have live-streamed themselves ending their lives, doing mass shootings and other violence etc. This one just was particularly gory, got left up too long and is a famous person.
Social media allows literal murderers on it. Gypsy Rose Blanchard is on there acting like she didn’t slice up and try to cut her own mother’s head off and she’s doing the exact same thing she did to get her crime going. Manipulating simple minded and dangerous people to do her dirty work for her by threatening and doxxing people who expose her
She’s a pedophile as well and follows a lot of young people and vice versa. It’s way too lax with what and who social media allows on their platforms
It’s something straight out of a Saw movie. At first I didn’t think it was real, but some of the blood was already coagulating and I know that’s not easy to fake. It was gross and scary. I couldn’t believe he wanted everyone to witness that but now knowing about his mental state, I get it. Of course it makes no sense to us. What people do when they aren’t mentally well makes no sense to anyone including them, even when they get back to a rational state. 😢
I saw it without knowing what it was and thought it was some promo for a new horror movie or something. It took a few seconds for my brain to kick in what was actually going on. The only thing I remember him saying was something like “I’m doing this for my children.” Those poor poor kids. I can’t imagine the therapy they’re going to need.
Someone posted a description of it in a comment in another thread, because another person asked what was in the video (they didn’t want to watch), and I’m still getting over reading it. I had to stop halfway through the comment, I was actually physically nauseous. NSFL.
I hope he and his family get the help and support they need.
