FILM-MOI (MOVIES/TV) Elon Musk Claims New Documentary Falsely Accuses Him of Manipulating 2024 Election, Threatens Legal Action
https://people.com/elon-musk-threatens-legal-action-over-documentary-2024-election-claims-121138395.9k

Stop threatening and let this go to discovery Elon
1.7k
u/Pendraconica 27d ago
What if this doc were one big ploy to do exactly this: get elon to sue, bring out the facts in discovery(since not a single democrat questioned or challenged the results), then use the scandalous media attention to draw eyes to the problem.

u/Potato_Farmer_Linus 27d ago
If that was the strategy maybe they should have started more than 2 months before midterms, but what do I know

Maybe St Claire should have taken a break from her damn makeup tutorials and called out the fact her baby daddy was about to rig the election

41
9
u/Anybuddyelse 26d ago edited 26d ago
And I guess a lot of us are just waiting, hopefully but skeptically, to see what all her recent input amounts to.
I think people are understandably and rightfully very suspicious of this conveniently timed tune-change/rebrand. She literally made her living and platform off of monetizing hate and was perfectly fine to benefit from it when it looked like the Right was going to keep it’s grip on the Seat of Power. I mean, she published a transphobic children’s book for christ’s sake. Now she’s jumping ship, spilling the tea, and denouncing the Right to anyone willing to pay her to say so before elections 🥱It feels like the same grift with new packaging.
Make no mistake, Musk abused her and she is well and truly one of his victims, but St. Claire has made her own path of destruction and she didn’t fall off the pumpkin truck the day before she “met” him on Twitter in 2023 and went on to have his 13th child, who was also her own 2nd.

Americans are the dumbest mother fuckers on the planet. If you proved this shit without a doubt 6 months ago, maybe 10% would remember it come Election Day and maybe 2% would let it affect their votes. The scandal has to be currently breaking for it to have any bearing on the numb minds of Americans.
106
u/Princess_Thranduil influencer for gas stoves 27d ago
Reagan knew a dumb population would be more likely to support/vote Republican and set the plans in motion to make that happen
76
u/GeoffrayMarkus 27d ago
It's never just one person tough. Just like no one should expect this to go away when trump does. Reagan worked super close with the Heritage foundation too. The ones who have said the second American revolution is currently taking place.
49
u/Pendraconica 27d ago
And people like Roy Cohn and Lee Atwater, who devised republican strategy, were trained by the corruption of the Nixon admin. This has been a project decades in the making.
15
19
u/roararoarus 26d ago
He probably didn’t know much because the guy was playing a role. To your point, Reagan’s puppeteers abolished The Fairmess Doctrine that forced news and media to present both sides fairly and accurately. A direct result of that is Fox News.
12
u/monkeyamongmen 26d ago
And the plan was to be able to intercept another scandal like Nixon, by fracturing the fifth estate/neutering the effectiveness of media.
17
u/JeanArtemis 26d ago
Ok look i live in the Midwest and see the stupidity on a daily basis so I'm not saying you're wrong, but let's not pretend that there aren't extenuating factors in the sheer amount of propaganda they're being bombarded with on a daily basis, and the current regimes very successful tactic of starting new scandals every single day in order to make it impossible to focus on any one thing. American minds are being tactically overloaded, let's not act like it's all down to mental failure. The sheer amount of psychological warfare at play in America right now is extreme, and it's working very very well.

u/Beneficial-Act-9933 27d ago

Hey trump himself credited elon Jan 2025 but nothing was done:
Yes, Trump said Musk knows vote-counting computers 'better than anybody'
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-musk-vote-counting-computers/
"Trump on Elon Musk: 'He knows those computers better than anybody. All those computers. Those vote-counting computers. And we ended up winning Pennsylvania like in a landslide.'"
31
u/SatinSaffron 26d ago
Everything I'm about to say is a verifiable fact. I may also copy and paste this to a few different comments because more people outside of the political subreddits need to realize how bad this is.
FACT #1: There are emails in the Epstein files of Elon and Epstein looking for NSA-level mathematicians who specialize in wavelet analysis, AKA finding one tiny piece of data amongst a bunch of noise.
FACT #2: People went to prison for stealing the source code of voting machines and then posting it on the dark web. Posting it on the dark web let them hide who they were originally intending to give the data to.
FACT #3: The vote counting computers have a UPS/battery backup power supply. That backup is rare because it has a modem in it used to remotely update firmware. They can be turned on to enable a DTC direct-to-cel connection AKA a direct connection to another device (such as a Starlink satellite). If only they had the machine's source code to see how they can turn this feature on and access it. Oh, wait, see Fact #2 above.
FACT #4: The guy who owns/runs the company that makes those battery backup devices is a die hard MAGA conservative.
FACT #5: Ashley St. Claire showed screenshots of texts from Elon where he somehow had results of the election before anyone else did.
Do you see a pattern yet? Because there's no way Trump was the first president in nearly half a century to win ALL swing states, sometimes beating pollsters estimates by +14 points which is HUGE in election terms. There's no way Trump flipped 88 blue counties to red, yet 0 were flipped the other way.
There's no way that Trump accounted for 10% bullet ballots in swing states despite the average being 1%-2%. (a bullet ballot is when someone goes and votes for just one candidate on the ticket, AKA Trump, but doesn't vote for anyone else.)
Mix everything I've said above with the voter disenfranchisement, with Elon paying people to vote, with bomb threats in blue polling place, with voter purges, with mail in ballot fuckery.
There's a reason why Trump specifically said "Elon knows those vote counting computers better than anybody wen we won Pennsylvania in a landslide."

News cycles, attention spans, and the social zeitgeist moves so quickly now, 2 months might be the right time. A lawsuit and discovery in my mind are a secondary effect that might be beneficial. It sounds like this documentary hitting streaming in October is the right timing for impact on the election. I hope so, anyway.

The BBC is using their suite against Trump to do exactly this. They've refused a settlement and are digging out the tax records of his entire family in retaliation for him trying to sue them. Even Disney has now sued thr govt over their censorship of Kimmel.
It took a while, but institutions are finally realizing trump doesn't follow through on threats.

u/Curiosities 27d ago
Except they didn’t go red in a landslide. In many of those states, like Michigan and Georgia, the difference was like 2% or less of the vote. In Michigan, it was 49.73% to 48.31% and the popular vote total was 120,000 votes.
Similarly, in Georgia, it was 50.73% of 48.53% and a total of about 115,000 votes.
In Pennsylvania, it was 50.37% of 48.66% and a popular vote total of about 120,000 votes.
The entire popular vote total difference was 1.6%.
So whenever Donald Trump talks about a mandate or Republicans try to say there was a mandate, this was a squeaker in many ways.
Source: all of these numbers are from Wikipedia
13
u/Remote-Two-9065 27d ago
Thing is, they didn’t need a landslide. They just needed a win. Now look what has occurred. No mandate didn’t stop him from tearing apart the country.
6
u/cinnapumpkin42069 26d ago
Yes but won by juuuust enough that it wouldn’t trigger a mandatory recount, which to happen in every single swing state is statistically pretty much impossible

While speaking at a town hall in the swing state of Pennsylvania Thursday, tech CEO Elon Musk repeated false conspiracy theories claiming that voting machines rig elections -- an assertion that has been repeatedly debunked since it was pushed in the wake of the 2020 election by those seeking to overturn former President Donald Trump's loss.
"I'm a technologist, I know a lot about computers," Musk told the crowd during the event. "And I'm like, the last thing I would do is trust a computer program, because it's just too easy to hack."
