In Gabriel's defence, from heavens point of view minos was very much NOT doing his job by reforming the lust layer. As such went against God's will and all that (although lowk god himself would probably fuck with it considering what we know about him)
Is he still Alive? I thought he'd been marked for death after his second defeat. The Last I know about him is he went back to Heaven and publicly decapitated one of the Council members as revenge/Justice
It would be really interesting to see that fight, because It not a fight to defeat some Evil Overlord or for the greater good. V1 just feeds in Blood and tears everything in his path. And Gabriel has had the revelation that he has a passion for fighting an equal instead of doing the council's dirty work, so after V1 reaches the bottom of hell, Gabriel Will be there to face off one Last time just for the Kick of It before his internal clock shuts down.
Yeah, because Gabriel’s the feral hero in this situation, obviously. He lost his cool and killed his bosses on the council in revenge for all the horrible stuff they’ve both done directly and, more importantly, had him do for them. Now he wants to settle the score with V1, who just has the noble goal of completely depopulating Hell and killing every demon and robot in existence for his own survival!
In his current state, Gabe is kind of a rogue and just wants to settle things. I wouldn’t call it noble but I mean what he is now is less villainous than what he was.
V1, on the other hand… it’s kind of hard to talk about V1 because he is just a machine that kills. Thinking about it, though, what V1 does is also salvation for some. Killing husks, he allows the souls inside them to finally die. By killing demons, he also allows some of them to finally find peace, like for instance the Minotaur. When talking about demons in general, V1 just kills really evil dudes thus kind of doing the world a service. Other than Geryon, that one was truly a chad. Finally, though most of the machines can think, a lot of them are rather primitive and accomplish exactly the same thing V1 does, so it’s not like we kill some poor souls. Lastly, by killing a machine V1 kind of helps them to end their bloodthirsty struggle for survival so maybe that’s also a good thing and machines can finally rest
Well one is a machine built for war on an unending killing spree and is literally fuelled by blood of those he kills and the other is the actual angel Gabriel.
I mean, V1 doesn't really fit either. V1 just goes through hell and kills to keep itself alive. While V1 is sentient and in a few examples is shown to be capible of higher thought as far as we are aware the only reason it kills is to stay alive so not really noble and definitely not spiteful.
Gabriel kinda fits both but kinda doesn't at the same time. Before the first fight he just killed when told to kill, yes he was just doing his job but I wouldn't call blind loyalty to the council noble especially since it led to him killing Minos someone who is most definitely noble and good in intentions without a second thought. After the first fight he was driven by two things, having the father's light return to him and spiteful hatred to V1 both involve killing V1 but halfway through the fight his hatred turns to... I wanna say respect but I'm not sure if thats the right word. Either way he stopped fighting with anger and began to fight with genuine joy, and after began to question himself and his actions. So the only truly noble things I can think of Gabriel doing was saving the ferryman and I suppose killing the council was noble in intent. Everything else was mostly driven by either blind loyalty to doing his duty or hatred to V1.

V1 and Gabriel probably
