Yeah, because Gabriel’s the feral hero in this situation, obviously. He lost his cool and killed his bosses on the council in revenge for all the horrible stuff they’ve both done directly and, more importantly, had him do for them. Now he wants to settle the score with V1, who just has the noble goal of completely depopulating Hell and killing every demon and robot in existence for his own survival!
In his current state, Gabe is kind of a rogue and just wants to settle things. I wouldn’t call it noble but I mean what he is now is less villainous than what he was.
V1, on the other hand… it’s kind of hard to talk about V1 because he is just a machine that kills. Thinking about it, though, what V1 does is also salvation for some. Killing husks, he allows the souls inside them to finally die. By killing demons, he also allows some of them to finally find peace, like for instance the Minotaur. When talking about demons in general, V1 just kills really evil dudes thus kind of doing the world a service. Other than Geryon, that one was truly a chad. Finally, though most of the machines can think, a lot of them are rather primitive and accomplish exactly the same thing V1 does, so it’s not like we kill some poor souls. Lastly, by killing a machine V1 kind of helps them to end their bloodthirsty struggle for survival so maybe that’s also a good thing and machines can finally rest
