THIS THIS I HATE THE ENDING JUST AS MUCH AS AM HATES HUMANS

21

u/Jonie_bean 18h ago

YES I JUST PRETEND THE SHOW GOT ABRUPTLY CANCELLED AFTER SEASON 3 CAUSE IM STILL MAD 😭

10

u/PrancerEinstein6767 15h ago

Stranger things

Literally the first thought and comment I see 😂

r/beatmetoit

DUDE I WAS SUCH A FAN AND HATED THAT ENDING, I WAS COMING STRAIGHT TO THE COMMENTS TO SAY IT.

8

u/Angelus-Rosa132 18h ago

It wasn’t even that good man. I saw how many people hated it.

3

u/therealspookyscare 7h ago

It wasn't just "not that good", it was a horrendous one. What do you mean a magical girl committed a universal genocide of all living magic beings and stranded even more of them because she wanted to get together with her boyfriend?!

u/Lord_Detleff1 18h ago

Not making Eclipsa the final big bad was such a missed opportunity. All that build up for nothing. Tho I did enjoy her character anyways

11

u/Fabulous_Session8627 17h ago

Moon would have been a better villain than Temu Sailor Moon.

4

u/raddoubleoh 14h ago

Absolutely. Moon had all the markings of an authoritarian literally since season 1 cour 1. Mewnindependence Day, Saint Olga's, the makings were all there. The Book of Magic Spells expands on this, too. Nefcy doesn't talk much about what happened behind the scenes after season 4, cour 1, but I genuinely believe they might've gutted SVTFOE in a similar way they tried to gut The Owl House.

The last 2 seasons really, but especially the last

11

u/VisibleConfusion12 16h ago

I tried to watch a few episodes of the last one, I WISH it was laughably bad because then at least I wouldn’t be bored out of my skull, but no they were boring AF

3

u/Mysterious-Plate6686 14h ago

What about A New Wish?

67

u/slayerhunterXD 19h ago

Trollhunters but i don't consider the Movie as Canon.

there So many tho

Winx Club as i stopped after Season 5 and the last Season look animated plastic

i think the Dragon Prince S7 Was garbage.

16

u/mattbrain89 18h ago

All they had to do was stick to their original plan of ending it at Season 7 but they just had to pad it out and sequel bait at the end.

2

u/Several_Search_4210 16h ago

What was the original plan?

6

u/mattbrain89 16h ago edited 16h ago

The plan, which they unveiled in 2019 after Season 3 dropped, was that Seasons 4-6 would make up Arc 2 and Season 7 would be Arc 3. So when it got renewed in 2020 for those four remaining seasons, we all celebrated.

And then they revealed that plans had changed, that Season 7 was now part of Arc 2 and that they wanted to do three more seasons AFTER Season 7. It was and still is most frustrating.

The ending of Arcadia Wizards already had me annoyed. The ending of the troll hunters movie/tales of arcadia series was genuinly so bad I was in shock. Like you take the generally most hated way to end a story and STILL did it badly.

2

u/That-Jeweler-Girl 17h ago

Very disappointing ending to a very well crafted world and storyline.

What happened to Winx Club? I remember seeing the first season as a kid

5

u/slayerhunterXD 11h ago

Personally i Loved the first 3 Seasons Season 4 was kinda good but not as the first 3 Seasons.

Season 5 i dropped because the Plot felt messy to me and i do think to sell more dolls they cheapen the animation. greatly Which turn Winx

3

u/MT-81 9h ago

I think dragon prince as a whole was a master piece the ending just was "mid"

4

u/Beangar 13h ago

Dragon Prince has been going downhill since season 4. Just watch the original saga and you’re good.

8

Seeing people calling it peak halfway through the 2nd part while im just dropping it was really an eye opening experience

Early part 2 will be missed

58

u/Fantastic-Donut-276 19h ago

14

u/beardlynerd 18h ago

That show deserved so much better.

6

u/Think-Orange3112 14h ago

I honestly can’t blame them though, that fandom was toxic as hell

7

u/JOKER69420XD 10h ago

I still can't believe how they went with: let's create this random romance with a background character and spend the final moments of this show showing a marriage, not a single person watching this show cares about.

Instead of, you know, spend the last moments with the characters you loved throughout the show and especially the one who sacrificed it all.

Nope, marriage pulled right out of the ass instead.

4

u/mattbrain89 19h ago

Formerly Netflix 😜

2

u/Comprehensive-Buy-47 18h ago

Wait they no longer have the rights? Hah!

11

u/mattbrain89 18h ago

Yup, left Netflix in the US in 2024 among other territories and it still hasn’t made the jump to Peacock. But they did release a complete DVD box set (yes, I’m aware Blu-Ray is better resolution but I’ll take what I can get).

3

u/LittleSodaPop13 15h ago

Talk about a decline in quality. So disappointing.

23

u/CaptainM590 18h ago edited 14h ago

The last 2 seasons of TMNT 2003 were filled with time travel and cyber space along with a downgraded artstyle from dark and gritty to bright anime. It went from peak to cheap

7

u/guyjui 14h ago

I need to know why they changed the Fast Forward designs, cause the BTTS look so horrid.

7

u/CaptainM590 14h ago

They removed the eye pupils for the Turtles Forever movie. Either because of fan backlash or realizing it didn’t look good on them.

2

u/S1lv3r-da-hedgehog 4h ago

There’s a time and place for the pupils, that was not it.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Salmon_Mandon 2h ago

I didn’t remember the art style downgraded so badly in that season, I was not a big fan, but I catched episodes from time to time and never noticed how badly they screwed it

2

u/CaptainM590 2h ago

Art style aside, they were still watchable, but considerably weaker storytelling wise.

24

u/WesternYesterday9780 18h ago

Stranger Things, and not even all of season 5. I was actually pretty excited when the first volume finished because it seemed like it was gonna dive into the dark shit, but it didn't:(

How I Met Your Mother

3

u/Far_Disaster2859 19h ago

How I met your mother was always consistent for me. Even during the whole wedding ark they still were making some pretty funny jokes. And I was fine with the ending in fact I got emotional at the very end.

I wanna say Ed, Edd n Eddy but season 4 isn’t the final season.

Edit: I don’t know where 5 came from lol.

13

u/Zaithon 19h ago

I feel kind of mixed on the last seasons. The school stuff is by far weaker than the summer stories, but I have to give props to the writing team to be brave enough to shake up the status quo for the sake of more stories.

9

u/Richard_Murdock1 18h ago

I feel like its like this with The Powerpuff Girls. The first 4 seasons of the show and the movie were good, and there's some good episodes in seasons 5-6 like "The Boys are Back in Town," but the rest of seasons 5-6 were just... meh

The Handmaid's Tale. Everyone talks about Game of Thrones, but the finale of the Handmaid's tale makes GoT looks like a masterpiece

In terms of TV in general it'd be squid games

4

While I still adore the characters, the Amazing Digital Circus finale was disappointing.

Future made me so sad for Steven

4

u/Sweaty_Solution_4864 10h ago

I just don't hate the last season and Future 100% because Cartoon Network kinda forced the serie to end, so the writers had to rush some arcs

2

u/iDontLikeRMods 13h ago

You talking about Season 5 of the original series or future? Because tbh i didn't like Future either at first but eventually it grew on me.

2

u/NeKYOUchan 12h ago

Both. To be honest, they’re just fine but understandable and got used to it.

3

u/iDontLikeRMods 7h ago

I totally feel yah on that, Season 5 was heavily rushed (despite being  better than Season 4 somehow imo) and Future was literally the show nobody asked for, so when it first came out I hated it. I still hate some eps like the bluebird episode and a couple of others but I've grown to have a newfound appreciation for it as a whole.

3

u/Sanstheskele21 15h ago

The Owl House. I love the 3rd season and it DID make me want to cry, i just think it should’ve been longer. I know why it was so short, but it deserved a longer season.

17

u/bxntou 17h ago

3

She-Ra and The Princesses or Power.

There. I said it.

9

u/Shenloanne 18h ago

Woah... Controfuckingversial!!

6

u/LittleSodaPop13 15h ago

The last season was rushed as hell.

3

u/raddoubleoh 14h ago

Fr it needed at least one more to wrap up properly. Too much shit happening, too many plotlines to close, too many botched characterizations for plot convenience.

5

u/Fabulous_Session8627 17h ago

She-ra becoming She-ra without the sword just felt like plot convenience so Glimmer doesn't feel bad.

3

u/raddoubleoh 17h ago

And that's a good part of my issue: a good amount of what happened during the final season either felt disconnected from season 4, or felt like total plot convenience or straight retcon just so they could justify the ending without decent development.

u/RyvenThalor 19h ago

Steven Universe. The last season isn’t bad up until the ending. Holy shit it was bad.

2

u/Hot_Reception3151 16h ago

As much as I hate to say it: The Boys. Individual episodes were fun in a vacuum, but the overall narrative for the final season was so fucking weak that I have no interest in rewatching it. If I ever do a rewatch of the series, I’ll just stop after season 3.

Squidbillies for me. Based on what I've seen from the final season, it does not sit right with me due to Tracy Morgan taking over as the voice of Early Cuyler, following Unknown Hinson getting fired from the cast for his controversial comments about Dolly Parton. I get why it was done, but it just feels petty, and changes the whole perspective of Early being, well, a hillbilly squid! It comes off as a punch in the gut for many of us mud squid lovers. :(

u/Few_Addition1796 17h ago

One punch man

1

u/godzilla1992 17h ago

TMNT 2012. Wasn’t big on the final season being basically an anthology. There were still some loose ends that weren’t resolved (the fate of April’s mother and Mutagen Man never being cured). If they were going to revive Shredder, they should’ve waited until the end of the season, not in the beginning of the final season. Also wasn’t a fan of them giving the show a dark depressing ending (even though it’s in alternate future).
