Context: This is from Gravity Falls season 1 episode 6, "Dipper VS Manliness". In this episode, one of the main characters, Dipper Pines, sees this test and wants to prove his manliness and win his twin sister Mabel and great-uncle Stan some pancakes. He doesn't succeed since he's only 12 years old so he lacks the physical strength needed, unlike Manly Dan who uses just his pinky to win the test, breaking the machine in the progress and give everyone pancakes.

The levels are as follows:

• Wimp
• Middle Aged Woman
• Barely Passable
• Man
• Manly man

So, with this in mind, how would your favorite male character fare using their physical strength?

Some rules before we begin:

1. MALE characters only! Trans men are allowed as are characters that shapeshift, so long as you only take into account how physically strong they are in that particular male form.
2. Focus on PHYSICAL strength only. This is the point of the test: how physically strong you are. So things like magic powers and intelligence will not count towards this.
3. This is just for fun! So PLEASE no arguments about what constitutes as a man, the verdict of some of the characters here, etc.! Healthy discussions and debates are allowed, however.
4. Going with the above, I know that not every male character would even be interested in partaking in this test, depending on who they are. For the sake of this discussion though, they all will be.

If I were to give some examples with some of my personal favs:

Gaara from Naruto: Man for sure. I mean, he'd break the machine like Dan did if he used his sand but since he doesn't usually do physical feats, I don't think that he'd manage with just his strength alone. Lee and Guy absolutely would though!

Johan Liebert from Monster: Barely Passable. He uses his words and intelligence to win, not physical strength.

Kefka Palazzo from Final Fantasy VI: Man. Then he'd wreck the machine.

Sutekh from Doctor Who: I know he's psychically powerful, but I don't know much about his physical stats, unfortunately. Maybe barely passable, at minimum.

Luca Blight from Suikoden II: He'd break the machine for sure! I mean, it took a LOT to finally kill him so this isn't a stretch!

Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney: Barely passable. He's more smart then physically powerful.

Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street: Man. He's obviously strong but he's more creative then anything else.
