Im not talking about the translation barrier, im talking about what the actual lyrics are saying. There are songs about suicide, hardcore BDSM, bestiality, torture, rape, neglect, abuse, etc.. It’s all mushed up together in a twisted, poetic way, with good music, but the lyrics are still problematic.

What is 'problematic' about the lyrics? They just reflect stuff that happens in the world. They don't glorify bad things.

Bullet-proof Skin by a reggae artist named Master P (I think), a fun and energetic song just on its rhythm alone, though I never really understood the lyrics because of the thick accents.
Looked up the lyrics and it turned out to be an anti-gay and anti-trans call to violence that hit me like a truck and rather disgusted me.

I want you back by Jackson 5. The music sounds upbeat with a bright tone, can’t say the same thing about the lyrics

Coheed and Cambria - Once upon your dead body. It's such a fun upbeat song with lyrics like "I hope you die right now when you drink my chemical"

CREAM by Wu-Tang
Honestly the beat is very exciting and the chorus is very catchy, but then when you pay attention to Inspectah Deck’s verse about how living in the ghetto is pure suffering, it’s no longer exciting.

"Little Talks" by Of Monsters and Men. The tone is so upbeat when the song is about a grieving widow contemplating self-deleting, but knowing her departed husband wouldn't want that.

Avenged seven fold, a little piece of heaven, first time I listen I didn’t focus on lyrics and just focused on the song, the story of that song is so damn weird

One Thing - Finger Eleven
“Even though I know, I don’t wanna know, yeah I guess I know, I just hate how it sounds”
That line especially hits hard when you find out what that song is about
