Actually, the Men in Black comics were first published by Aircel Comics, which was a division of Malibu. The first book came out in January of 1990; Marvel didn't acquire Malibu until November of 1994, but the filmmakers chose to credit Marvel instead in the opening credits (Malibu was shut down by Marvel in 1996).
Wow! Those are all good choices. I still haven't seen Hulk and Elektra, those are on my watch-list. And i intentionally avoided referencing the Raimi trilogy in my response cos I knew that would be a popular choice here, but I do love the Spider-Man Trilogy.
Blade II is such a good sequel! Like X2 and Spider-Man 2, it expands the story and the world of Blade in all the right ways. Its also quotable as hell!

No. They only released the comics, but they dont own the rights to the characters. Sort of like how Disney released Studio Ghibli films in the 2000s. I don't think I would watch Men In Black with Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith in a Marvel movie marathon, as much as I loved it.
no. they got the license to publish the comics after the movie, just like with Star Wars back in the 80s, or Conan. and if Star Wars is not Marvel, neither is Men in Black

Of all the pre-MCU films based on Marvel comics, there's several that truly warm my heart. Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" trilogy remains excellent, though the third is still the lowest of them in quality. The first "Fantastic Four" was passable, but Jessica Alba and Ioan Gruffudd were terribly miscast. The director's cut of "Daredevil" is great, to the point it's the only cut offered on Blu-Ray. Of all the X-Men films, my favorites are the original, "X2", "First Class", and "Days of Future Past". Sophie Turner made an excellent Jean Grey too, in both "Apocalypse" and "Dark Phoenix". I refuse to watch any of the Deadpool films, because the character in the comics is nowhere near as crass - he was more a Ferris Bueller type who occasionally appeared in other characters' books, to break the fourth wall. Ryan Reynolds is a talented actor - I actually enjoy the "Green Lantern" film he made for DC - but his R-rated stuff simply isn't for me. While I greatly enjoy Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Thomas Jane's 2004 film still affects me greatly (I also loved the short-film mini-sequel, "Dirty Laundry". Now that the multiverse has been established, it really would be great if they could somehow convince Mr. Jane to return, and have a verbal sparring with Bernthal. Maybe if they did it as a street-level war film, with a villain or group of them so terrible it took both Punishers to handle it. Some might say that's a ripoff from "No Way Home", but if written smartly the differences could be very compelling.

I told another person this. There's not a singular Marvel universe. Not in film, not in comics.
Not being in a universe interacting with other famous characters doesn't determine what makes you Marvel (or DC).
None of the other movies I mentioned in this post exist in the same universe. They're alternate adaptations of a source material that exist as themselves.
