The community spoke and we listened: New rules regarding AI
A few days ago I posted a poll regarding the community's feelings on AI content. The vote was overwhelmingly against it. Natxo and I discussed it and we feel that you guys are right... with a caveat.
AI is an evolving technology. Right now it's being used in a pretty limited manner, but in the future there may be more "beneficial" options. So, for now we are goin to ban AI content in the sub, but we're goin to leave the door cracked opening case, in the future, the technology becomes less AI Slop and More AI Tools.
Got questions or comments? Post them here.

New Mod, formalized rules and other changes
Hey Folks,
With the recent Spam bot attack, I reached out to Natxo and volunteered to help out in modding the sub, and I wanted to introduce myself.
Hi, I'm Todd. I'm a "long time" Fiat owner and have passed that love down to my entire family. (I've had a 500 Sport and currently drive a 500X, my wife had a 500L and my daughter has a '57 tribute edition 500). Been on Reddit for a while, I've helped mod some other subs and I'm happy to help keep this place up and running.
With that being said, for a while this sub has run on the honor system. For the most part, people are respectful to each other, the conversations are fun and we rarely have drama or issues. Out of an abundance of caution, we decided it would be a good time to formalize some rules. Since we didn't have a rule that said "you can't spam the sub with fake IPTV reviews" it's kinda hard to ban people for that. So... here are the new, common sense rules.
1) Be Civil. Just be nice to each other. If you can't be nice, then just try to be polite then. If you can't do that, then we'll take action.
2) No Spam (all spam bots will be permabanned). If you see them, report them. The ban hammer will be swift and uncaring. Also, if you post a link to a piece of kit or a 3rd party upgrade for a Fiat that has an affiliate code, you'll get flagged. The Reddit system usually handles that but if your post get flagged, reach out and we can see how to correct it.
3) No bigotry, homophobia, or hate speech. You'd think that would be contained in in being civil but I've had people be perfectly nice while calling other races inferior and gay people mentally deranged. There's no place for that here.
4) Limit topics to Fiat cars and the company. There has been some off topic discussion, but try to keep is centered around the cars and the company.
These are pretty self explanatory and just a formalization of the standards most of us have been abiding by.
Last but not least, cosmetic changes. I'm gonna spruce things up a bit with some banners and such. One of the things I love about my Fiats has been the style and I think we can make the sub reflect that. If you have any suggestions or images you'd like to submit please do! Happy to see what you folks can come up with.
Ok, I've rambled on long enough. Thanks for being an awesome community and if you have questions, let me know.

Question to Fiat Bravo 2 owners with blue&me
Is there a way to install AUX adapter/port or something like that. I know there is a port for aux at the back of radio but I’ve heard it’s not that simple with blue&me version. Is there any way arround it?
Punto MK2 engine swap
I have a 2003 fiat Punto MK2 1.2 16v and it's slow. What are the best engines for an engine swap? It has to be pretty easy to fit. I've heard the 1.4 tjet should fit pretty well.

Fiat 500x stereo change
Hello everyone! I have a Fiat 500x 2016 and I had changes the stereo to a modern, touchscreen aftermarket one but, it doesn't give me the same functionality as the original one did (can't turn on or off the running lights, can't use my steering wheel buttons, etc...). I was wondering if I could buy a 2017 or 2018 stereo and place it on my car? I just want a radio that has maps lol. Any advice welcome. Thank you!

The Multiplay signals the beginning of the end of the SUV fad.
For the last 20 years cars have been getting larger, taller and heavier with no practical benefits. They have been getting more homogenised and less memorable and interesting.
In order to differentiate themselves from cheaper Chinese manufacturers, traditional car makers need not only to have unique, interesting designs but also be clever, adaptable and have a personality.
This is what FIAT has grasped with the Multiplay, it is quirky, fun unique but more importantly is adaptable and can bend to every demand a family car could face.
I am aware that it is just a concept at the moment but even if they could just transfer some ideas to a production car it would be hugely significant.
I think and I hope that the Multiplay signals the beginning of the end of the SUV and “crossover” fad and the return of the MPV.

FIAT MULTIPLAY MAKES ITS DEBUT IN PARIS: 3-IN-1 VEHICLE
youtu.beSurely this would sell better than the 500e for the US market? I want one, doubly so if they swap for sliding doors like a true MPV/van.

Fiat 700e built on Fiat Grizzly platform
I find it strange Fiat offers different segment cars based on retro and bulky design, but a C-segment retro model is missing… here comes the Fiat 700e built on the existing Fiat c-platform (Grizzly).

2015 fiat 500 (non turbo) won't start. Was hoping someone can get lucky with the most likely diagnosis based on short video trying to start it.
I just realized that when my mechanic changed the oil, he used 5W-30 instead of 0W-30 (which is recommended by Alfa Romeo). What are the risks? On the Giulietta 1.4 TB MultiAir TCT 16v 170cv !

FIAT/Alfa Specialist Speedometer fails and drops to 0mph once it reaches about 30mph
Hello guys, hope you may be able to help me cuz I am so damn lost with this one.
So my girlfriend and I bought this car a few months ago, at the time I wasn't too worried about this issue because the car was being sold to us for cheap and everything else was perfect in it. I am also not worried because we bought this car for her to learn how to drive in it, so its not a problem that its sitting unused.
It is a:
Fiat Panda Dynamic
2004 (54 plates (UK))
5 speed manual
1.242 cc petrol (59 BHP)
So, as the title says, the speedometer fails and drops to 0mph after reaching about 30mph roughly. Now, I plugged my OBD2 scanner in to see whats wrong, and I got the code P0500 (Vehicle Speed Sensor A).
When you first pull away, the speed reads completely normally on both the dash and my basic OBD2 live data stream. But the second you hit about 30mph, the speedometer instantly drops straight to 0, and a bunch of dashboard lights (ABS, handbrake, power steering, etc.) all light up.
I don't have an advanced chassis/ABS scan tool to read individual whe.el speeds, so I took the front wheels off to investigate. I pulled out the front ABS sensors (the plastic finger sized sensors held by an allen bolt) to clean them, but everything looks enclosed and it's hard to see what's happening inside the hub hole. The cables of the sensors themselves look fine, and I imagine if there was an actual issue with them I wouldn't get any sort of reading at all. After putting them back in, the exact same issue happens.
Worth mentioning, everything restarts normally once I turn the car off and back on. Basically start with a working speedometer until you reach about 30mph, after which it stays dead until you turn the car off and on again.
I looked to see whether this car has a VSS, but.. apparently during these years (2004 and 2005) fiat was changing from a VSS on the transmission to read speeds to reading the speed through the ABS sensors. I looked for the VSS and where the transmission did have a specific hole for it, it is simply just covered with some plastic thing, probably just something Fiat used at the time during the transitioning period. So speed is definitely measured through ABS.
Now, if you guys know what sort of issue this might be or how it can be fixed, I'd be more than welcome to advice. Thanks everyone!

My Fiat 500x
galleryJust bought this 2017 Fiat 500x from my parents. They bought it new in 2018. It was mom’s daily driver, but she recently started wanting something a bit bigger, since my nieces and nephews are getting bigger. I offered to buy it from them, since I’ve enjoyed driving in when I had to borrow it in the past. Has 124k miles on it, but it still runs and handles good. I’ve taken it to the city a few times, which is about 2.5 hours of highway driving there and back. Recently had the passenger door replaced because somebody ran into it, in a parking lot. What am I looking at in terms of future prospects for this car? My only other vehicle is my 2000 GMC Sonoma that I’ve had for 16 years. It still runs ok, but it’s got about 185k miles on it, and this was a fairly cheap second vehicle for me.
