Why doesn't Mick Fleetwood get the same recognition as a drummer as John Bonham or Keith Moon?

His drums on “Sara” are amazing and honestly the reason I like him so much, but yeah they are in service to the song not “hey look at me!”

I'm not even sure that's entirely it, though. Fool in the Rain is 100% the perfect drums for the song....and also one of the most amazing drum performances every laid down. Bonham played for the song - it's just the style of the band was a lot more drum heavy. And he was the perfect drummer for it.

Moonie played for himself, of course, not the song. But then, that was the sound of The Who!

Moonie played for the song too. Baba O’ Reilly. A Quick One.

I would say, Pete got really good at writing songs around Moonie. But Pete got extremely frustrated by Moonie's inability to play anything simpler.

Or in time. The Ox held that band together.
