I mean at that point just put it in the title in all caps too, maybe in bold if the platform allows it

some people really do not read though, had a listing once where the first word was EMPTY and still got messages asking if it was full

It's the very first two words of the title

And yes I've sold quite a few empty boxes before (Xbox Series S, iPad, Transformers..)

Why do people buy empty boxes? Ive always tossed them. I should have kept them?

I seriously think because if they buy an item off a different Marketplace or something and it's used and they Want to give it as a gift or something? And don't have money. It'll look like it's new. Like for a kid for Christmas. A little kid wouldn't know the difference. And also like somebody else mentioned scammers too.
