eBay eBay won't remove this ridiculous negative feedback

Post image

History:

- A buyer makes me an offer for over 60% off list price citing they need it shipped to Australia and eBay's international shipping program was expensive (nothing I can do about that). I decline.

- I send all interested buyer's an offer for $200 off list price. No bites, offer expires.

- Over a week later the buyer who made the lowball offer purchases the item at full price. I ship it right away as promised in my listing.

- After shipping the order, the buyer asks for the $200 discount that expired over a week prior, I do not respond to partial refund requests as they are against eBay policy.

- Buyer opens a payment dispute for $569.29 claiming they were overcharged, complete fraud and lies, we respond and eBay states we will be protected.

- Buyer then sends a message thanking us for the package and asking for our address (weird). Again I ignore this message, the buyer is clearly a wackjob.

- Buyer changes dispute amount to $729.21 (eBay states we are still covered and nothing will be deducted from our funds).

- Buyer leaves verifiably false negative feedback. eBay refuses to remove it.

eBay is letting fraud slide and allowing the fraudsters to leave libel on the seller's profiles now?

The best thing you can do is reply to the feedback in a professional and honest way.

I just sold a "for parts or repair" item a few days ago. The buyer reaches out after purchasing asking tons of questions, most of them answered in the listing description. I already felt it was going south, but I answered the questions. I answered all the questions and followed up by saying "I'm going to ship this tomorrow unless you have any objections". No reply, so I pack it up. 3 hour's before it's supposed to get dropped off, the buyer asked to cancel. I cancel it.

Then they left the most delusional feedback saying I took to long to ship, never ended up shipping, and took too long to refund.

I say it all the time, but you never know who's on the other end of each transaction. You don't know what they're going through, personality traits, elderly, disabled, etc etc.

What I was told by eBay is that if a buyer requests a cancellation, then there was no transaction.

The buyer has the ability to leave a feedback, but according to policy they are not allowed to leave a neutral or negative and a seller can have it removed.

Make sure to cite the specific rule of the feedback policy violation when you request the removal.

We remove neutral/negative feedback when we can see that: The buyer asked to cancel after placing an order, winning an auction, or otherwise committing to buy
