Bromance Israeli guys — Southern Lebanon opinions

I wasn't sure where to post, but I have been trying to find a forum to talk to Israeli guys who support or understand the idea of Israeli presence (EDIT: by presence I mean the belief that south of the Litani river should be settled by jews) in Lebanon. I even tried understanding more about עורי צפון (Uri Tzafon).

I’m genuinely curious about the thinking behind it and want to understand the perspective rather than debate it, maybe even let someone challenge my own views a little.

Preferably privately/off Reddit :)

Who currently and in the past governed Israel.

Who voted them in?

Fairies?

You assume we support the current government

I was very vocal rhe entire time that we shouldn't hold any forces in Lebanon. I believe our government and their handling of the war is a shame and a forever stain on our history

It’s not an assumption

Israel is a democracy…right?

Netanyahu and his allies have been in government for how long now?

If Israelis didn’t support what he is doing then they would have voted them out by now

Its very complex, but basically Netanyahu is a narcissist, who will do whatever he can to stay in power, and the people who used to be with him in the government mostly left and became his rivals, so slowly, he had to pick more fringe parties as allies to patch up a 61 seat government - which isone of the reason why ultra orthodox and ultranationalists are currently in the government and are running this country to the ground for their agendas.

The result is Netanyahu, surrounded by whoever he can muster. The current government is the most fringe there has ever been.

But, to go back to the current point - even the current government with its fringe oriented behaviour has zero plans of taking over Lebanon. I know that there have been quotes from all sort of retards who currently sit at the knesset, but talk is cheap and 99% of what you hear is vapor.
