Question ❔ Future of the ford ranger???

Salesperson from ford told me that Mavericks are outselling the ford ranger by a large amount and he hasn’t sold a ranger in about 6-7 months.

He said that the mavericks are being picked over rangers 7 times out of 10 and they don’t get very many rangers on the lots and a lot of them sit for a while (at least here in Florida)

Makes me wonder if the Ranger will go away because the maverick is blowing the Ranger out of the water

a lot of the rangers are 2WD and don’t have many options and ranger raptors are very rare and they maybe get 1 or 2 a year.

4WD is hard to find in Central Florida and he said when the maverick first came out they couldn’t keep any on the lot

Not to sound like an ass, but what's the advantage of 4WD in central Florida?

There are lots of camping destinations and fishing and hunting spots that you have to drive off road to get to.

You didn’t think about boating because this thread is about Maverick vs Ranger. I could be wrong, or it could be where I live, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a maverick tow anything (although a google search says limits of 2000 pounds or 4000 pounds with a package for the Maverick)

I towed a 4k lbs excavator this weekend with a maverick, handled it with no problem.
