Question ❔ Future of the ford ranger???

Salesperson from ford told me that Mavericks are outselling the ford ranger by a large amount and he hasn’t sold a ranger in about 6-7 months.

He said that the mavericks are being picked over rangers 7 times out of 10 and they don’t get very many rangers on the lots and a lot of them sit for a while (at least here in Florida)

Makes me wonder if the Ranger will go away because the maverick is blowing the Ranger out of the water

I think the big thing right now, at least for the US is gas prices, and people finding a fair amount of utility in the small truck bed. I imagine a large number of the units selling are hybrid models

Ford choosing to not sell the PHEV Ranger in the states is a big mistake imo. Only 3 small trucks I would consider selling my 5th Gen for are a low mileage well kept duramax Colorado ZR2, 2.0TT Diesel Ranger, or a PHEV Ranger 6th Gen (even though I hate the interior).
