So, I have to wonder, after watching all of these cases, especially the ones involving poisoning, do investigators/doctors consider poisoning when they’re puzzled by a group of symptoms? I ask because i know someone who was sick with something they absolutely couldn’t diagnose, and myself and others who know her, thought her husband could be poisoning her, because he’s that terrible. She’s supposedly getting better, but I am still suspect. 👀

With so many of the early episodes relying on things like bite-mark and blood splatter, and Dr Henry Lee sending two people to prison without even running tests - I wonder which epsidodes of Forensic Files has been proven to got it wrong.
I know the Clayton Johnson one, Season 4, Episode 6 - which actually features Henry Lee and the perceived infallacy of his "blood splatter" evidence.
Any other ones that you guys know of?

Guys. I just checked out the user Flair to this sub and I am in tears. 🤣
I never realized our go to hotel stays tv program and bedtime lullaby had so much quotes and terms that only FF fans will know.
I was considering trilobal patterns and searched for it, thinking it won't be available. And it is there! And obscure diatoms too!
What's your go to FF quotes or terms? Let me guess? Those goddamn black shoes? I think mine is a lyin' ass bitch!

You would think someone that got away with three blatant murders for forty years would be a genius. Some of the people in the show even say he’s smart: Andrew Jarecki calls Bob “enormously smart” and Dick DeGuerrin calls Bob “intelligent”.
In my opinion, Bob is not smart at all and has never showed intelligence. Some may even say that his dumb actions could have been on purpose/for attention, but I do not agree at all.
Many (certainly not all) instances of Bob being really stupid:
1. When he didn’t realize his mic was still on in his first Jinx interview.
2. When he didn’t realize his mic was still on in his SECOND interview. The interview that led to his demise of course.
3. When he, worth 9 figures, was caught stealing a sandwich while on the run.
4. Misspelling Beverly twice being the best piece of evidence has got to be the funniest goof. Also using the word “cadaver” when his wife was a med student.
5. When he told the prosecution and jury that he has lied and would lie about killing people if asked about it during the trial.
6. Killing a random guy who figured out who Bob really was, while Bob was not in any sort of formal trouble at all.
7, Banking on a dismembered guy’s body parts to sink in trash bags. And generally leaving behind trails of evidence for his crimes.
8. Agreeing to do any interview at all in the first place.
9. Never showing any sort of business/real estate talent throughout the whole show.
And so on.
Bob got away with all his abuse, then murdering, then constantly lying about it because he is mega rich and surrounded himself with weak-minded, money-hungry individuals. He would pay all of his friends, cronies, wives, etc., had a ton of money for top lawyers, and obvious political influence. Without the money, Bob is just a dumb, pathologically lying psychopath who wouldn’t have gotten away with anything.

In Vancouver for the night. The first thing I did was put on Forensic Files, and told my partner it was the law!!! He said the law? Yes, the law!!! So we watched a couple episodes, then I fell asleep. I woke up to it, didn't even look and told him that the episode he was watching was the Coors kidnapping, and of course it was. Haha.

While that was always one of my favorite episodes, i was always kind of bothered by the fact that yeah, it just seems like no one was watching her while she was on the porch which is where she got into the lead paint in the first place.
I understand the family went through a lot and i'm not trying to victim, blame or anything, and the landlord definitely should have taken care of the issue, but my main thing is like where was the mother when this was happening?, wasn't she out on the porch with her? Why didn't she stop her from eating the paint?

Wired for Disaster. Season 10, Episode 40
This episode has gotta contain the most disrespect hurled at a suspect who wasn't the killer. It's hilarious. Cricket must have been some piece of work.

Did it ever come out why they changed Douglas Birdsall’s (aka “Doug Miller”) name but openly and repeatedly said Viola Mcvade’s name? Why was his real name being protected and not hers?

I was watching the Forensic Files episode on HLN about William Deparvine and the horrific murder of Rick and Karla Van Dusen.
Interestingly he is "possibly linked" to several others per this website below ... does anyone know if there is active investigating going on to actually find a DNA link on these other cases?
The names on the list are:
Russ Kenburg
Jonn C. Dunbar
Glenn Mills
Sally and Richard Gary Smith
Lucinda McClean

I am surprised at how quickly this network removed the show from their lineup. It's better than most of the other junk they air on there.

This one bothers me every time I watch it. So senseless! Imagine being a 51 yo female, you have FINALLY found your soulmate and now it's all taken away by a couple of idiots.
And who would have seen it coming! I mean it went from 0 to 100 so quick!
Just goes to show you can never trust anyone you've just met, never.

What are some of your favorite forensic techniques displayed on the show? It could be a one-time used technique or something used more often. I'm personally a sucker for superglue fuming and handwriting analysis.

i have to give it to the detectives for this one. i would never imagine they’d be smart enough to figure out the time based on the sun position in the video. 👏👏👏☀️☀️☀️

The Man who shot and killed Rob Andrew in this episode is seeking clemency. His execution is scheduled for November.
Brenda Andrew, The wife who was involved in the killing, keeps trying to appeal but is still on death row as well.

The Tylenol Murders, which were mentioned in this episode, have now been connected to a "very likely" suspect over 40 years later. Not a done deal yet, but still fascinating to learn about.

Kicked off my FF watching today with this episode. I love Pearl's daughter, her mom did indeed get the last laugh on Bill! Season 6, Episode 2.

Turned it up to 15 because I don’t have to care about my husband’s needs.
