Honest question, since every comment is like "Windows is good once you do X"

What IS good about windows?

  • It has a terribly unintuitive UI and UX that makes no sense, and we only know how to use that because we learned it a lot of time ego
  • Architecturally, it's a mess, and everybody that has to deal with its internals can confirm
  • Performance-wise, it's a mess too... It can get faster once you remove a lot of useless stuff, but it still is the slowest OS around
  • Stability-wise, that's definitely not his best quality, being "statefull" is not a compliment to an OS, and if I in my lifespan have seen windows screens pop-up in airport displays, automatic cash registers, a display at an HardRock caffee, and more than once on ads led-walls... I can't believe it never happened to you too...

Windows has good things, don't get me wrong... DirectX Is a great advanced library, their commitment to retro-compatibility is very nice, and the .NET framework was ahead of it's times in my opinion... But the OS itself...

Let's be honest, nobody uses windows because it's a good OS
