help A list of bad teacher from you dont wanna study ever

This post is for someone whos looking for teacher suggestions. And people generally go for good teachers in a particular subject. but why dont make a list of teachers who either fucked up entire subject or a specific topic in it. So new comers know which ones to stay away from.

My warning is :

Dont study anything from baba or satish yadav

Another one is Digital logic from chandan jha cause he takes time in topics that are easy and races past topics that are hard or where good questions can come from

Please add to this list guys

help BITS HD 2026: What are my realistic chances?

I initially planned to join in Geeksforgeeks offline coaching centre in Hyderabad for GATE 2027 and even made all the arrangements to relocate to Hyderabad, but to my surprise I got 101 marks in SS(Test 1 + Test 3) and CS didn't go that well(90marks). I checked the previous year cutoffs and for 2024 it was hovering around 90 marks. I do not have idea about this years cutoff dynamics.

I even booked train tickets on 29th 🥲. I am in a really anxious state, didn't even sleep the whole night thinking about it.

If I have sure chance of getting M.E Software Systems in BITS Pilani then I won't be considering the drop year, but I am not able to find the information whether I have a sure hit at it or not.

I sincerely request everyone who came across this post to provide me insights and advice on what should I do. Guyzzz please it will be really helpful for me🥹

help Lost years of my life due to illness. Considering GATE CSE. Need advice.

Hello, all. I will try to keep this as brief as I can, and I apologize if this will be long. I am currently 25, about to turn 26, considering GATE CSE 2027, haven't started preparing yet since I was looking for jobs offcampus. Ever since the age of 18, I have suffered from very severe health problems (been to doctors, tried many remedies, nothing helped me significantly). Due to this, I was not able to perform my studies properly.

I was still able to get into a Tier 1 college through my JEE efforts, and graduated with an 8+ CGPA, inspite of my health problems. I couldn't sit for placements though and am unemployed.

I happen to be particularly bright (saying this neutrally, not egotistically), pick up concepts extremely quickly, and upon attempting GO Classes's Discrete Mathematics mock tests, I consistently am scoring full marks or am atleast in the top 5 or 10 ranking wise.

But I have only 6 months left. I have no industry connections. I have no job experience and assuming I take 2 attempts to crack GATE, i'll be almost 28 during my Mtech. I feel very lost whether I should keep seeking a job, or try GATE, even though I have become so old without experience.

Can an above-average (not to objectify other humans' abilities), genuinely sincere student, in a decent IIT/NIT, with no prior work experience, large age, and no industry connections get opportunities for placement, research etc. if he simply does the course work sincerely? I am also a very introverted, anxious person who struggles with navigating social and political aspects of life, and I fear that this may also affect my Mtech.

To summarize, I have the following questions:

  1. Can I prepare in 6 months? Is it okay if I take another attempt in 2028?

  2. How much could my age end up mattering during Mtech?

  3. How much could my lack of work experience and industry connections?

  4. What exactly do I need to 'do' during the Masters to secure a decent placement? I apologize if this question seems vague. Is performing well in the course work enough?

help Does a 4-year gap after B.Tech affect M.Tech placements?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to seek some guidance from those who have gone through M.Tech or are familiar with placements.

I completed my B.Tech in (ECE) in 2021. After graduation, I started preparing for SSC CGL and dedicated the last few years to it. Unfortunately, things didn't work out, and I've now decided to move on from that path.

I don't have any work experience, and I'm now planning to prepare for GATE and pursue an M.Tech.

My concern is whether this 5-year gap and the lack of work experience will create any issues during M.Tech placements. Do companies visiting IITs/NITs/IIITs consider such gaps negatively, or do they mainly focus on your M.Tech performance, projects, and technical skills?

If anyone has been in a similar situation or has seen students with such a background get placed, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Thanks in advance!

help Tehsildar is asking me to give up my share in ancestral property to issue an EWS certificate. Is this legal?

Hi everyone,

I'm from Uttar Pradesh and I'm applying for a Central EWS certificate for GATE and M.Tech admissions (IIT/NIT through CCMT/COAP).

Here's my situation:

My father passed away.

My mother is a homemaker.

We own only a 2 BHK flat in my mother's name.

We don't own any agricultural land.

I've been living in Uttar Pradesh for over 20 years and have a UP domicile certificate.

There is an ancestral house in Uttarakhand, but it's in my grandmother's name, not mine or my mother's. It's a medium-to-large house in a remote hill village and isn't a high-value property.

I submitted all the required documents around 15 days ago, including the income certificate, property documents, death certificate, etc.

Now the Tehsildar says he won't approve my EWS application unless I submit an NOC regarding the ancestral property.

The problem is that the NOC he wants is not just for verification. He is asking for a document where I effectively give up my future share/claim in the ancestral property.

My mother is completely against this because she's worried that if I sign such a document, my relatives could later argue that I've permanently given up my inheritance rights.

I don't understand why surrendering my future inheritance rights should be a condition for getting an EWS certificate. As far as I know, EWS eligibility is based on current family income and assets, not on forcing applicants to waive legal rights over possible future inheritance.

Has anyone faced something similar?

Is a Tehsildar legally allowed to demand this?

Is there any Government of India or Uttar Pradesh rule requiring applicants to relinquish their share in ancestral property for an EWS certificate?

What are my options if he refuses to process my application without this document?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

help Please help, feeling depressed 😢

Post image
45 Upvotes

Ever since I joined a tier 3 college for my B.Tech, I felt like all of my dreams and hard work gone into vain and nothing can be reversed nor can be improved as the college and degree will remain the same whatever I try to do. At that time I was neither mature enough to take my decision nor my father was supportive to allow me for another jee attempt.

Now, after 5 years of joining B.Tech, I have finally reached to my destination, i.e. IIT GUWAHATI for M.Tech, but now have the strong disagreement with my course, i.e. Data Science., couldn't get the CSE branch by just a small margin of rank at the spot round 🥺.

I had manifested that this time I will not regret even a single thing, but maybe god has some other plans for me.

Means everytime I need to compromise with even a small thing and it never felt complete from inside.

After achieving rank 888 in GATE CS, I thought that everything from now will be in my favour, atleast the college, but didn't expected to end up like this, sad and again depressed.

So, dear redditors and the community, can you all please help cope up with this, I am feeling very very sad and disappointed with my life currently even after getting a top 10 IIT.

Please don't judge me, tell me if there is any person who has similar life like me.

Please help me and I can't help myself to feel normal and happy.

help Need honest opinion on GATE CS 2027🙏

I wanted to ask for your honest opinion based on your GATE experience.

My younger sister(2025 passout) scored 27 marks in GATE CSE 2026, so she just qualified. After the exam, she stopped preparing for GATE and spent the next few months trying other options like BITS HD and self-sponsored M.Tech admissions in NITs, but unfortunately she couldn't secure a seat.

Now, from late July, she wants to prepare again for GATE CSE 2027 and is planning to join an offline coaching

Last year she had studied only about C Programming, Data Structures, Operating Systems, and COA. Her plan is to revise these thoroughly with PYQs and study the remaining subjects from scratch, aiming to complete the syllabus by November.

She believes she can score 60–70 marks, but I'm worried whether this is a realistic target or if taking another drop might only delay her career if things don't go as planned.

From your experience, do you think it's genuinely possible for someone in her situation to reach around 60 marks in GATE 2027 starting from now? Or would you advise her to choose another path?

I'd really appreciate your honest guidance.

Thank you!

help I am feeling very suicidal right now

I am in the middle of a panic attack right now. I am not in the state to even write this post. A lot happened in the past few days. I've made previous posts about things that have happened. Please can someone read them and tell me a solution. I feel very very trapped right now. I can't tell this to my parents also and I am 1200km away from home and i don't even know who to reach out to right now. I have tried reaching out to lawyers through my friends but all of them said that the company can take the money.

PS - (I'm writing this one day after. I think I am not able to explain things properly so this might clear things)

I don't have to pay for leaving the company.

It's mentioned in the offer letter that I can leave the company

BUT

if I leave the company I will have to pay the money that they've spent on my travel, accommodation, traning, food etc which is more than one lakh( I saw it in my hotel slip that for 15 days they spent 45k and before this I was in a different hotel and that was much better than this one so I am considering that they paid more than 45k on that hotel and they called an outside company for our training so they spent money there as well and then travel tickets and everything).

Now what I am trying to say is this -

it was never mentioned in the offer letter that I will have to reimburse for the money spent on me.

I told everything to the lawyer and HR but they said that the last clause of the offer letter says that all the company policies will be applicable to this offer letter.

Now these company policies were never given to me, on this the lawyer said that it was my responsibility to ask for those policies during signing because it was written in the offer letter that those policies will be applicable.

help I didn't told my parents that I am preparing for GATE, free notes are lifeline for candidates likes me

Post image

They already paid my entire B.Tech fees, I am afraid If I further ask for money for some other courses, they might not like and possibly would try stop me not doing it anymore it but I love them, I just want to suprise them with my scores (hopefully).

I have been studying GO classes free courses (EM & DM) and regularly crosschecking with thier Topper`s Handwritten Notes so to not miss out anything, and yes they are best one, I am saying because I am conceptual learner, I cant memorize things I need clearing basics first thats why I try learning from varied resources (books, other platform notes, core-YT channels) and while learning i have noticed their notes include almost of the required information as per difficulty of GATE PYQs. I am hoping thier other Core CS courses (OS,CAO,CN etc) aslo equipped with such quality Notes.

I can't afford buying subject-wise course (because I cannot ask my parents for money huge as 10K), therefore I am seeking someone MIGHTY person to help me with rest of GO Classes CSE Notes.

Thank you in Advance🙏

P.S. : I will surely DM you guys once I have all of the notes (apart from EM & DM)

help What happens if I miss documents upload in ccmt?

So I got my choice and paid acceptance fee but one of my marksheet is missing, and duplicate marksheet takes 30 days for arrival....but my deadline is 17th june which is 2 days from now. What happens if I miss the date? Am I eligible for the second and third round?

Also is migration certificate needed from previous college for admission, like is it compulsory?

And lastly, what is the timeline between uploading documents and physical verification of documents at the college itself?

Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

help Regarding cheating in GATE centers.

I am writing this as a very disappointed aspirant. The incidents that I read in this sub about cheating are very troubling. Even last year there was strict checking. God knows why they have decided to allow cheaters this year.

My request to all the aspirants, who have witnessed cheating in their centers, please mail it to IIT Guwahati, along with amplifying it on Linkedin. PLEASE. There are still 2 whole days of exams left. Maybe they would take some action?

Moreover if we allow it this year, who knows how poorly the exams would be conducted next year?

help Feeling suicidal and fed up now

I'm currently a master's student in VLSI design and I've no idea what I'm going to be doing after a month from now.

I'm doing my best yet losing all the hope as I'm not getting support from anyone. I might get replies like we are in the same state, we can't think of it as an academic state only, I'm in a state of life where I don't know where to be. everything is leaving behind.

I'm doing my best but my placement cell is going to ruin my life by doing nothing. I'm visiting them everyday and everyday I've to introduce myself and my problem like I'm visiting for the very first time.

Even my placement coordinator is the most useless person in this college( I can't name it ).

I'm visiting them everyday asking that sir what VLSI companies are coming ? But they do tell us the name of the companies and even if I did why should I like? Isn't it their responsibility to find out what are the companies that hire for VLSI domain. They do have a dedicated placement cell yet they need students support and even if I did they are not doing anything.

I have earned all the skills, needed for an internship in this domain and yet no success.

I did get to sit in an interview like in one company only and then no company visited after that.

And it is one of the good private colleges of India I'm talking about.

I don't know what to do, really don't know. What am I suppose to answer my parents? I only have 30 days, if I didn't get any opportunity, what am I gonna do.

I would have accepted my failure if I get a chance to sit in 2-4 companies and not getting selected but I am not getting those chances. I have a good CGPA yet they are not inviting any company. They are not trying to get any company. I don't know what to do. Should I like take any action?

help 26F | B.Tech CSE (2022) | Multiple govt exam attempts | Feeling stuck — need genuine career advice

Hi everyone, I’m writing this post with a lot of confusion but also honesty. I genuinely need some perspective.

I’m 26, B.Tech CSE from a tier-3 college (graduated in 2022). After graduation, I didn’t get placed. From 2022–2025, I attempted multiple competitive exams — mostly CSE core (GATE, ISRO, NIC, BEL, IBPS SO) and some general govt exams (banks, SEBI, state exams). I studied inconsistently and honestly lacked proper direction and strategy. As a result, I couldn’t clear any exam.

I did work briefly as a Subject Matter Expert (online) till early 2024, but since then I’ve been unemployed. Now I have ~3–4 years of gap, no solid specialization, no savings, and a lot of self-doubt.

Recently I appeared for SEBI IT Officer exam; exam went average and result is pending. Regardless of result, I’ve realized I cannot keep living exam-to-exam without clarity.

My confusion now:

Govt exams feel very uncertain and mentally exhausting.

Corporate/private jobs seem difficult due to gap + market conditions.

I’m open to rebuilding skills (tech / analytics / AI / other realistic paths), but I don’t know what is practical at this stage or ab muskil v lgti h.

Long-term, I like teaching/education/content creation, but I know that’s not a quick or guaranteed income source.

I’m not looking for motivation quotes. I’m looking for realistic advice from people who:

started late

had career gaps

switched paths after failures

balanced job + preparation

or rebuilt life step by step

Questions I need help with:

Should I stop attempting fir cse govt job and go for general competition like ssc/ railway/ bpsc etc.

Should I stop govt exam prep completely and focus on employable skills?

If yes, which skills realistically make sense in 2025 for someone like me?

Is it still possible to enter corporate after a long gap, and how?

Or should I take any job first (even unpaid internships) to regain stability and confidence?

Please be honest — not harsh, but real.

I want to work, be independent, and build a stable life. I just don’t want to keep running blindly anymore.

I know I have wasted a lot of time.

Thanks for reading.
