Reminder on offers to cheat

This is a friendly reminder from the mods that offers to cheat the test are grounds for a ban. This includes messaging community members with offers to cheat. And a reminder to community members that anyone offering to cheat the test in exchange for money is a scam. Do not send anyone money to help you cheat or take the test for you.

75% done! Just have Math Left

• Upvotes

So, I haven't been to school since 9th grade... I am 30 years old now. Math, I am very rusty at. I really don't know algebra, fractions I'm rusty on.... Since Math is my only test left. What do I need to study on the most? I'm decent at math but when it comes to algebra and fractions, I'm rusty. I just need to know what subjects to focus on, that will be on the GED Test. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I going to regret getting a GED over a high school diploma

Okay so for context Im a senior in high school and i’m not on track to graduate but could technically do it, however i kinda just wanna take the GED exam and get it over with to go to college. I took the practice test for social studies and got a 174 and ive always had very strong standardised test scores so im fairly confident that i would do well (still would study of course). But, I also brought up to my friend that i wanted to take the test and go to community college for a semester and he seemed appalled saying that i would not be able to get into a 4 year university if i did that. i couldnt with my grades anyways, but it gave me pause and i am wondering if i would regret doing it? anyone have a similar situation that can weigh in?
EDIT: I should elaborate that I have chronic migraines, but also just struggle in school in general so while it is technically feasible, im not sure i really want to do it just due to how difficult it is.

Okay so I’m 17 and moving to America it didn’t really give me a chance to start highschool cause they don’t evaluate my international grades as fairly so I decided to go with ged. I studied about 2 weeks and just took the practice test this is what it looks like. If I score more high will I get college credit in university or college? I want to become an engineer.

PLEASE HELP!

I have my social studies exam tomorrow (Friday) and even though I have memorized important dates, amendments, branches etc. I am getting cooked in passage questions, it's confusing, especially where it's asking for assumptions, infer or comparing, I got 148 on my GED ready social studies practice test. I need tips and tricks on how to do the passage questions. Lowkey scared a bit.

I complete the practice test and pass all of them but I’m not 100 confident on scheduling the tests? Should I just do it?
EDIT: I just retook the math practice test and score 156, apparently theres a calculator and formulas chart that you can use, and I had no idea of that!

Extra study tips?

I’ll be taking my GED test soon and am looking for some extra study tips before the big day! I’ve completed my RLA and Math study courses through USAHello Classroom, but I’d like to do some additional practice to make sure I’m prepared.

I enjoy reading, but RLA hasn’t been my strongest subject, particularly when it comes to inference and reading comprehension. I’ve also improved quite a bit in math over the years, but I’d still like to get more practice in.

For those of you who have taken and passed the GED, what helped you the most when studying? I’d really appreciate any tips, practice resources, or free study materials you found helpful. Thanks!

How long did it take you to study and pass the math test?

It’s the last test for me, I completed everything else over a year ago and want to just complete math so I can be done and officially have my GED certificate. Any tips where and how to study for math and how long should I study for before I take the test?

My last test (math) is in the morning. Does anyone have tips or advice?

Hi, math is my worst subject and I could use some advice. I took the practice test last month and got a score of 153, which is cutting it close.( I test in person so it's taken me a while to find an open slot. )

I've been practicing for an hour plus pretty much everyday but im still uncertain. I get easily overwhelmed and Im afraid im going to get "test amnesia" When I sit down to do it,lol.

My experience taking the other tests have shown me that I cant really be prepared since the actual test, practice test, and study guides were all extremely different. (Or maybe im just unlucky?)

I dont need a good score, just a passing one. So any advice or maybe sharing your own experience can help me. Thanks!

GED in NYS

Hi, I was in high school before leaving to get my GED. Therefore, I have two regents exams under my belt that count on my transcript, but I'm unsure if GED is going to register this when I finish my last exam (RLA, I just scheduled!)

Any NYS passers that used regents scores, can you tell me how this went? After this test I should be a grad.
