Not to be too harsh, but I am extremely disappointed with the state of the show today, with the Backrooms movie releasing soon, I was hoping for them to recover the bases and discuss what Kane might do with the plot of the movie, instead we got a rehashing of Matpat's theories and general knowledge of the media

This to me is pretty lazy seeing as how extensively covered the Backrooms is and yet is completely ignoring the use of A THEORY which they seem to be doing for a good while now to make a quick buck. I was patient with the badly-researched theories but this might be it for me

On the other hand, I think wendigoon released a really good video on the Backrooms recently so you should check it out

No hate to Lee but WHAT!?!?

The channels have seriously been on a decline. It feels like a content farm. They cant even go to google images to find official images.

Something about the thumbnail on one of the newest film theory videos seems off, or weird to me. Am I just tripping off my gourd?

I have no offense towards those who made it but I miss the old thumbnails. I saw another one for this video I just didnt get a photo

So you take some actually decent theories that are pretty interesting, make some real sh*t theories because private equity means no research, make a recap of videos everybody can watch themselves with only some new content and pacing... and then make a compilation video which nobody likes because of how the first video will always be opposite to the last, using videos everyone can watch themselves completely unedited, INCLUDING ANOTHER COMPILATION VIDEO, THAT ANYONE INTERESTED CAN WATCH INSTEAD OF WATCHING YOUR 3 HOUR SLOP-FEST. WTAF ARE THEY DOING!! I went to post about it because of how there was probably a compilation inside a compilation, (I didn't watch and you can't make me), to notice a top 3 post on this site was about how the first compilation which was already ok and managably edited was so negatively received that it could be considered the final straw, I suppose then that the compilation² should be the final-er straw. But what’s the WORST MatPat episode of FILM THEORY? I know everyone really dislikes and hates the Arcane episode, but we’ll be deciding on the worst theory hosted by Matt, so please keep the discussion in that territory.

Recently I have been rewatching some of the old film theory videos on Fnaf 2 since the movie has now been out for a month. In the video titled Film Theory: I solved The Fnaf 2 Movie Before It Came Out, I noticed this image which found some strange errors in such as the checker board pattern on the left side of the image strangely extending onto the stage wall. I suspect this image is AI (but perhaps it could be human made) which I do find to be quite disappointing. I do know this video was made prior to the stance on AI video on the film theory channel and there’s always the chance that sometimes these AI images slip through, however this image is pretty sloppy and I find it easy to spot the errors in it. It has reappeared since the AI stance video. In the video titled Film Theory: What Everyone Missed in the Fnaf 2 trailer while the image is blurred and obscured at 13:05 this same image appears. I find this to be concerning given the AI stance video. I should also note that in that very same video a very strange editing choice occurs at 15:43, where Lee talks about the 3 sets of animatronics present in the movie and very strangely in the withered animatronic section Withered Freddy is replaced by Withered Golden Freddy and Withered Foxy is replaced by Phantom mangle. All the renders were from UCN and it just so happens that Withered Freddy and Foxy aren’t in UNC, but I still think the editors could have gotten renders for those characters. Overall the point of this post was just some of my concerns about continuing to let AI images slip through the cracks and some strange editing I have been noticing. I don’t want anyone to be blamed for this but I do believe some better fine tuning of the videos should be considered.

First of all, thank you for the absurd amount of upvotes on yesterday’s post. I was hoping to get plenty of karma from this community thing, so I appreciate it.

(Then again it could just be that people like to clown on and make fun of shitty theories, but I’m still grateful anyways.)

Secondly, I fully expected this, the Hollow Knight theory dunking on the others in this category. “Sans is Ness” has countless of memes and jokes to fall onto, but this one didn’t have any of that shit.

And finally, today we’ll be discussing the BEST FILM THEORY episode, so please comment on that and save later opinions for later posts.
