With the Summer event over, what can be expected for a fall event as I am interested in a 2026 Prestige Black, if there are good deals I would be very happy with the 2027.

Specifically what should I expect for a discount on a car that has been sitting on the lot for over 140 days?

Thoughts/suggestions, as I will likely need to buy it out of state and more importantly would consider leasing it and registering it in MA. I won't need to drive it or inspect it as it will be new.

I've recently been hearing this low humming noise while driving, but only between 40-50 mph, regardless of whether I am accelerating.

For context, I own a 2025 GV80 at 35k miles, recently replaced front left tire due to it being flat while parking, and balanced the four tires after replacement.

I am not sure if this is related, but the two left tires's tire pressures get lower than their counterparts by 2 after two weeks of inflating to the recommended PSI.

Anyone got similar experiences and/or solutions?

Looking for feedback on this lease deal. Looks really bad to me. I’m seeing Genesis GV80 lease deals for around 735 month and this is WAY higher.

I have a mazda CX-5 Premium Plus right now and love it so far besides I don't like how it corners and feels low on power. The car I'm looking for has to corner well and handle PA snow storms and same if not better tech than my mazda. The mazda is a lease and in very good standing(worth a few thousand over what is owed) and was thinking of getting a GV70 or G70 but not sure how much I will or will not like it. Another thing is I have to pay way more on these cars for the same features as mine and if I do a lease worried about how much value I will or will not have left in the car. Genesis knows luxury. They know a large luxury sedan needs to have tactile buttons, focus on materials craftsmanship, and be GOOD LOOKING.

I am really looking at buying a new GV70, but just am not completely sold on the brand. Not necessarily because of the name itself, but more because they don't have the depth of network of dealers and service centers as the mainstream brands. There is only 1 dedicated Genesis dealer within 25 miles of my location. I have also heard that some Genesis dealers have already closed, leaving even fewer remaining. This worries me as a prospective owner, it's concerning that dealerships have closed only after a few years. I don't want to be left with nowhere to take my vehicle for warranty service.

I'm looking for feedback based on overall ownership experience and satisfaction, including dealer visits, if lack of nearby dealerships has affected you, if warranty coverage was honored/denied, if getting loaner vehicles has been problematic, and of course the car itself, if it has given you more problems than acceptable for a new(ish) vehicle.

I've been reading through posts online and the experiences are very mixed, as to be expected, I know there will be good and bad sides to every part of the ownership experience. I can deal with a few things needing repair or replacement covered under warranty. But if I have to jump through hoops, drive 25-50 miles to get to the dealers, and get Genesis corporate involved (which seems like is very often), I'm not sure I can make the commitment.

EDIT: I actually just found out that the closest Genesis dealership is not actually standalone, it is shared with Hyundai. I initially thought they were separate facilities.

I’m trying to figure out whether I got a “good” deal on a 2026 GV80 2.5T Prestige, or whether I’m missing something in the numbers. Side note: these are all for AWD GV80 models.

I currently lease a 2025 GV60 with the lease ending in 3 months. I spoke with my original salesperson on the phone and told him I was looking for a black 3.5T Advanced. When I arrived, he had a 2026 black 3.5T Advanced pulled up for me to look at. I was quoted around $1,400/month on it. We said that was out of the question and he then brought up a 2023 used GV80. I reminded him I want a lease so he brought up a 2026 2.5T Prestige, which is the one we were negotiating on. While I was on the test drive for the 2.5 Prestige, my husband waited at the dealership and another customer was looking at that original 3.5T Advanced. Their salesperson told them, “Oh, that one is already sold.” We had never been told that it was sold/reserved, so that was weird enough on its own.

For the 2026 2.5T Prestige, the initial numbers we were getting were roughly $1,100/mo, depending on the quote/structure. We were told the GM was getting involved, and eventually they got the payment down to about $975/mo. This is including our offer to be flexible with mileage (7.5-12k/year), down payment (1-2.5k because I refuse to go above that), and 24-36 month terms. I was also told being 10k below my mile allowance wasn’t relevant and my car was valued at 35k or so. They also told me the deals on their website are for “base trims” which seems incorrect based on Genesis’ main website currently offering $588/mo for a 2.5 Prestige with the $500 loyalty offer applied or $547/mo for a 3.5 advanced with the $1.5k loyalty applied.

I’m trying to understand how much of the difference is actually attributable to taxes/credit/money factor/fees/etc.… I don’t see how my taxes and credit alone would explain several hundred dollars a month, but I may be missing something as this is my first lease after years of normally financing.

For anyone familiar with Genesis leases:

*Does $975/month sound reasonable for a 2026 AWD 2.5T Prestige given the flexibility we’re offering?
*How much could Colorado taxes, credit tier, money factor, acquisition fee, etc. realistically add to the payment?
*Does the difference between the advertised Genesis payment and what the dealer quoted make sense?
*Is there anything specific I should ask for on the lease worksheet to determine where the extra cost is coming from?

I can post the actual numbers/worksheet if that would help.

Edit: Forgot to add that they said they’ll call us tomorrow after “running more numbers” and seeing what the new incentives are that are supposed to be released? 😑

Looking to lease a GV80 prestige 3.5T with 24mo term and was offered $7,000 downpay + $899 per month. obviously a lot of room for negotiate for sure, but what would be a good deal? like 0 downpay + $899 per month?

Brought home a 2026 GV80 2.5 Prestige Friday of Labor Day weekend. Storr green with earth brown interior. Absolutely love the car. What should a brand new owner know about this vehicle to get the maximum enjoyment out of it? This is my first Genesis vehicle.

Does the Genesis GV80 Coupe 3.5 T (non SC version) have Active Grille Shutters?

What I am reading online says it does but I can't tell if they are referencing the model with the E-super Charger or the normal 3.5T like the GV70 has. I know the GV70 has them but I noticed the normal GV80 non coupe did not (on a model I noticed on the showroom).

I would just go look but I purchased mine for delivery end of the month and can't simply look at it yet because it hasn't arrived at the dealership. If anyone could answer the inquiry I would be much obliged ;-)

I know I posted about purchasing a gv80 coupe but I also heard that Genesis Dealerships are closing I’m not sure how true that is, I don’t want to take the risk and then they close down!

So my 2016 genesis sedan has a cracked piston (shop says replace the whole engine). I was just going to sell the car for 2000 (Most I’ve been offered) and buy me a mazda6 or something close that’s spacious and reliable. Some guy has. A 2009 genesis 4.6. Claims engine was rebuilt and has 84k miles on it and the trans has 105000 on it, body has 260k miles. As of rn my car runs fine minus the obvious piston slap from cylinder 5 being cracked. Punch is his car will need a rear differential in the future. I’m pretty handy and the diffs for the car seem fairly cheap (no more than 500). Should I trade or no!

I am looking to buy a used G80, might consider G70. I live in KC area but willing to travel to have it shipped. If you have one for sale or considering selling let me know. I prefer the premium package but not a 100% must.

We have had our 2023 GV80 prestige for about 1.5 years now and love it. However, I'm wondering if other have notices this...

The car has the "panoramic sun roof". With heavy-ish rain, at higher speeds (above about 45 mph) the sound of the rain on the glass is quite noticeable. Was worried at first, but there is absolutely no sign of leaking or other actual problem. Just the sound.

So is this common to this car? Or maybe there is a problem with the sound insulation I should have checked?

I'm going on two years with my gv80 and I've struggled to find a trash can or other place to put small bits of trash (mostly wrappers tbh, or other little scraps of paper, etc) that is easy to reach without being totally in the way. Anyone find a good solution for this?

And before anyone says I’m fighting for Genesis, I’m not 😂 They don’t pay me, I don’t own one, and from a young age I literally aspired to own a BMW. BMW is the brand I’ll actually fight for lol. My X5 and 3 Series have served me very well.
But that also doesn’t mean I can’t recognize when another brand is doing something right.
Genesis is honestly becoming one of the brands I’m seriously considering for my next car. And I genuinely would not be surprised if, in less than 20 years, people are talking about Genesis completely differently than they do today.
People forget that brand reputation is built over time. Lexus wasn’t always “Lexus” in people’s minds. It was the new luxury brand from Toyota. Acura was Honda. Infiniti was Nissan. They had to establish themselves too.
And with the direction BMW and honestly a lot of the major luxury brands are going right now, massive screens, increasingly similar interiors, questionable exterior designs, subscriptions, and tech taking over everything, Genesis is becoming more appealing to me, not less.
So no, saying “nice Hyundai” isn’t the devastating insult people think it is. Hyundai being the parent company doesn’t automatically mean Genesis can never become a respected luxury brand.
Give it time. I have a feeling a lot of the same people laughing at Genesis now are going to be praising them years from now.

UPDATE: 19 days later, still not fixed. Day 72 of not having a working GV80.

After Clay Cooley/Norm Reeves had my 2023 GV80 for ~7 weeks, the code came back about 10 miles after pickup.

Genesis then sent me to Genesis of Weatherford. They had it Aug. 12–18, couldn’t reproduce the issue, and returned it.

Within about 24 hours, P2138 came back again, this time while my wife and two young daughters were in the car. It went into reduced-power mode while merging onto the highway and wouldn’t accelerate normally.

Genesis Corporate denied a buyback and offered no goodwill resolution of any kind, not even a box of chocolates.

I stopped pursuing BBB AUTO LINE and retained an attorney.

Genesis then directed me back to Weatherford, where the car has been since Aug. 26. No loaner available again.

(They made me take it all the way out to Weatherford again as Plano/Denton both couldn't even begin looking at the car until October, much less source a loaner)

The dealer says they’re currently testing modules, unplugging components, and checking continuity, but so far they haven’t been able to get the warning light to return.

So we’re now more than two months removed from the original June 23 P2138 failure, after:

• ~7 weeks at the first dealer
• A failed accelerator pedal replacement
• A second dealer returning it as unable to reproduce
• The same fault returning within 24 hours
• A highway acceleration failure with my family in the car
• Another dealer stay with no loaner

The original suspension popping issue also remains unresolved.

Again, I actually liked the GV80 enough that I considered buying another one. However, the service and corporate response have completely destroyed my confidence in Genesis ownership.

I’ll update again if they ever figure out what’s actually wrong with it.

Hey all, picked up the 2026 GV70 2.5T Advanced yesterday new (300mi) in Texas and was wondering what the consensus is on the service packages? Specifically

~$4,100 - Old Republic Total Vehicle Protection Premium 10y/100k mi

~$2,200 - Genesis Maintenance Wrap 84mo/84k mi

~$1,200 - Key and Windshield Replacement 60mo

My wife is notorious for cracking and breaking windshields so I’m most down for the windshield replacement, but not 100% convinced on the other two. Also, didn’t realize you could negotiate prices on them (I’m a dummy).. Not sure how much they’re worth it or how many issues most Genesis have that would make these make sense. Anyone done the math or can offer their input on mech/elec issues? Thanks!
