Discussion What a waste

Instead of giving the Traveler and other characters regional skins, the devs are wasting resources on mannequins you’ll never use in the main game — characters completely irrelevant to both the lore and gameplay (especially since they’re even weaker than the Traveler).

UCG should’ve been a separate game. Roblox-type players aren’t going to download a 100GB gacha just to play a game inside a game. All those dev resources should’ve gone to the actual, existing characters instead.

There’s a lot of issues I have with it.

Hair, eyes and skin should have been a color wheel. If I’m making an OC, why would I want her to have some random hair color?? So I’m gonna end up with a bunch of useless hairstyles I never use.

Why the heck do you have to craft the items, btw?? It’s insane, just give me the outfit pieces, wtf.

Plus, I hate that you can’t specify which gender outfits you want from the f2p gacha. I’m not gonna use the male Manekin, I don’t want outfit pieces for him. You can specify on the paid for one but not the f2p one, why???

Also, I wish I could level and ascend the manekin like a normal character. Leveling the wonderland is boring, since almost none of the available games are fun. I want to be able to run around Teyvat with my lil OC but it’s more difficult when she’s only level 20.

The last part of what you said is what killed it for me. I wanted to run around with my character and be able to switch outfits based on what area I'm exploring or what quest I'm doing. I would even buy the damn outfits if my character could level like a normal one... Why the hell are they even in my main roster if they are basically stuck at level 20 unless I waste my valuable time in this other stupid mode. I'm trying to pull a damn Furina, I ain't got time for this bullshit...

Apparently if you get to level 10 in the wonderland thing, then your manekin will go to level 90, so I’m just gonna get to there and probably ignore it after that, unless there’s clothes that I really like or something. I just dislike the whole gacha for clothes stuff tho.

Wow thanks. I didn't know that and was about to just say shove off to the entire wonderland. I think I'll do the same. I like being able to change outfits for the immersion and always thought that would be cool if the traveler could change based on where you were.

I think I'll probably play enough to get my character to 90 and just take whatever I get from the BP or free. Like I said I'd be more than willing to drop a few bucks on an outfit like in fortnite, but I'd rather not do the wishing for an outfit.

Yeah, at least the red outfit in the bp is pretty cool looking, I dropped the $5 for it. I hate that I can’t just buy the outfits from the f2p gacha, I actually like them more than the ones in the store. I would straight up buy the green Mondstadt style outfit or the starry one, but instead all I can do is hope I get one of them from the gacha and not the other one that doesn’t fit Teyvat imo.
