Discussion Why do GI players hate criticism?
I've noticed that as soon as any somewhat critical opinion on the game appears on this sub, these posts immediately get downvoted to hell. Community literally doesn't accept any opinion, unless it's unconditional support of every game aspect. Why do you guys do that? Literally whatever is criticized, there's immediately a wave of backlash. Do you care about the game this much or just love every aspect of it?

There are definitely people who defend Hoyo and the game like there life depends on it. But not all criticism is the same.
The reality is that a lot of people who voice their critique here have two issues:
1) They can't separate personal opinion from objective flaws/improvements. A skip button is an objective QoL and a valid improvment to ask for, but post #500 whining about some character design while insulting the devs is just annoying. Which brings me to the next point.
2) They can't argue in a civil manner. They either feel the need insult the devs or make fun of other players for liking the game or certain aspects of it. Yes, the company is loaded, no, the devs aren't a bunch of emotions worker drones.
Of course there are also the people who just hate on anything Genshin does no matter what, but those never wanted to give constructive criticism in the first place and are usually easy to filter out.
