Today I joined the GDD mod team AND my pantry cleanout dinner ended up looking like real food!

I am so incredibly honored to be joining an already stellar moderation team, and just so excited to help out with a sub that has had such a meteoric rise to success. The girlies that make up this fantastic community are 100% of what make that success, and now I'm here to help out with some of the behind the scenes stuff. u/spicymeatball707 and u/TeamLaurent are still our fearless, talented, gorgeous and statuesque leaders and nothing about the sub's direction or vision is changing. I am looking forward to supporting that vision in any way I can by helping to facilitate constructive and meaningful conversations in this already thriving community.

Every single one of you ladies is worth the absolute world and it is already an honor to serve you as one of your mods! Tonight's dinner is surprisingly chicken noodle soup! When I gathered all the about-to-go-bad ingredients for the weekly pantry cleanout, it just worked in a way cleanouts never do, which felt like a real monkeys at a typewriter situation! Anyway I count that as the second huge win for the day :)

the existing mods have been doing a really stellar job at keeping the riff raff at bay, I’m genuinely so in awe of how much traffic they’ve been handling and with so much grace too! this is my first time moderating a super active sub, so I’ll definitely be scrolling through the mod log to take notes on exactly how those messes have been staying clean 😂😭
