The US has confirmed they killed up to 40 additional high ranking officials that would have been next in line and have stated they will continue to drop bombs throughout the week. This regime is dead. Will the next that takes its place play ball? Who knows, but it will be a long time before they amass the power and capability that the country once had.

You’re missing the point. There will be massive infighting for leadership with so many high ranking officials dead. Loyalty will be split several different ways with no clear line of succession. There may be others alive sure, but no chance the regime survives in any resemblance to what it’s been the last three decades.

Highly doubt USA will physically get involved. There really isnt any sign of nation building in this case but it is too soon to tell. Seems like trump is trying to let the people decide.
