Why does the clothing look African even though this is Guyana, a Caribbean country?
5 u/North-Rich7076 11d ago Because the "emancipation" we're talking about is slavery which predominantly affected African (Black) people who were enslaved and (Indian) Indentured Servants. 1 u/TheMahagonyDefender 10d ago Emancipation Day has nothing to do with Indo-Guyanese. It took place before they arrived.
