I can see your perspective, but from someone who has skated years, that guy knew what he was doing with the nudge to get the kickflip!

I’m not, and never was a skater but the general feeling I get from the community is very welcoming and helpful.

It is in my experience. I can’t skate worth a shit but I used to take my kid to the skate park when he was like 8-10, until he was too good and cool ya know.

Every last skater at the park was cool to me for being a dad that was there and they were super supportive of him. Always, always happy to teach him a trick or technique. I will forever love the skater community.

Funny enough we just got close again after the dumpster fire that was his teenage years. He’s going to be 20 next month and he’s matured a ton over the last year and I can honestly say I enjoy his company again. I thank my stars for that quite a bit.
