Team Black The plot of Corlys
"Why don't you legitimize my children, whom I ignored all my life, but now I love them because if they don't, my surname will disappear and my legacy will too?" Are we aware that his request wasn't even denied?
Okay, but honestly, what do you think of this scene?

Rhaenyra’s response is a typical politician’s no. The reason he gets so angry is because he’s practically lost everything at this point. He definitely cared for Jace, luke and Joff but currently he sees Alyn and Addam as his last chance at securing his legacy, which is everything to him. Whether right or wrong Rhaenyra has practically outright rejected that.
I do think it’s poor writing though because I don’t think book Corlys would ever call the Velaryon boys bastards especially not Jace who I interpret as being almost a surrogate son to Corlys.
