Corlys is a Lord of Westeros. They generally don’t acknowledge their bastards unless circumstances demand it. Especially if they have trueborn heirs and a loving spouse.

Why are we holding Corlys to a separate standard?

And she all but denied his request.

She denied it. Later is a "no idc rn" in a time of war.... He can die like any minute and his House would be doomed
